For Trump, it’s all about control of congress and sometimes his allies must suffer.

House Republicans Face Tight Numbers — Every Seat Counts

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY), a rising star in the GOP and fierce defender of President Donald Trump’s America First agenda, reportedly made a last-minute push to hold onto her nomination for U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. But in a bold, strategic move, President Trump withdrew the nomination — putting the fight to preserve the Republican majority in Congress front and center.

According to a CBS News report, Republican leadership urged Stefanik to step aside due to the GOP’s slim 218-213 majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. With four vacant seats and high-stakes special elections approaching, every vote matters.

“As we advance our America First Agenda, it is essential that we maintain EVERY Republican Seat in Congress,” President Trump declared on Truth Social after pulling the nomination.

Florida Race Draws National Attention as Stakes Climb

Two of the vacant seats — AZ-7 and TX-18 — are in deeply Democratic areas, but the real focus is on Florida’s 6th Congressional District, where Republican candidate Randy Fine is polling within the margin of error.

Fine is aiming to fill the seat vacated by Mike Waltz, who stepped down to serve as Trump’s National Security Advisor. However, Waltz recently came under fire after reports revealed he accidentally added a reporter to a group chat discussing potential U.S. airstrikes on Yemen.

Despite media outrage, sources say Trump has no intention of removing Waltz — viewing such a move as caving to liberal pressure and mainstream media spin.

Stefanik “Crushed” by Sudden Change — Fights to Stay in the Game

According to Axios, Stefanik was caught off guard by the decision and worked behind the scenes to change Trump’s mind before the announcement went public.

“Stefanik was crushed and scrambled to reverse Trump’s decision,” sources familiar with the situation told Axios. “But for Trump, the margins were too close for comfort.”

The withdrawal came swiftly after the CBS News report, signaling just how serious the Trump team is about holding the House and pushing forward with the conservative agenda.

Fox News Praises Stefanik’s Loyalty to America First Movement

Despite the setback, Stefanik appeared on Fox News Thursday evening for a live interview with former Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany. McEnany concluded the segment with heartfelt praise:

“You’re being praised as a selfless warrior.”

For many conservatives, Stefanik’s willingness to put country and party above personal ambition is a shining example of the kind of leadership America needs in Washington.
