This needed to happen!
President Donald Trump is taking bold action to eliminate taxpayer-funded media that pushes a left-wing agenda.
On Friday, Trump signed an executive order dismantling Voice of America (VOA) and six other bureaucratic agencies that critics say have wasted taxpayer dollars for years. The move is part of Trump’s broader plan to reduce government overreach and stop funding organizations that work against American values.
Trump Moves to Cut Wasteful Spending
A senior White House official told Fox News Digital that VOA has “become the Voice for Radical America” instead of representing the true values of hardworking Americans.
The order also targets:
✅ U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) – VOA’s parent company
✅ Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service
✅ Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars
✅ Institute of Museum and Library Services
✅ U.S. Interagency Council on Homelessness
✅ Community Development Financial Institutions Fund
✅ Minority Business Development Agency
According to the executive order, these agencies will be shut down or reduced to the bare minimum required by law.
‘Not Salvageable’ – Agency Declares Itself Beyond Repair
Kari Lake, the conservative powerhouse Trump appointed to lead VOA in December, confirmed the shutdown and told employees to check their emails for updates.
“The President has issued an Executive Order titled Continuing the Reduction of the Federal Bureaucracy, affecting USAGM, VOA, and OCB,” Lake posted on X (formerly Twitter).
What This Means for Taxpayers
🔹 Fewer taxpayer dollars wasted on biased media
🔹 More accountability for government spending
🔹 Ending left-wing narratives funded by American citizens
VOA’s History of Bias & Scandals
For years, Voice of America has faced backlash for promoting far-left narratives. Just last January, it was exposed for downplaying Hamas atrocities, refusing to acknowledge that Gaza crowds cheered as terrorists paraded the bodies of murdered Israeli children.
“Let’s get the facts straight: Hamas paraded dead Israeli children in front of cheering crowds,” said House Foreign Affairs Chairman Brian Mast (R-FL). “American taxpayers should not be funding this kind of propaganda.”
Other examples of VOA’s bias include:
🔹 A 2020 article pushing the divisive concept of “white privilege”
🔹 A report that critics compared to a Biden campaign ad
Trump’s Mission: Drain the Swamp
By shutting down VOA and other bloated agencies, President Trump is making good on his promise to drain the swamp and protect American values.
🇺🇸 Do you agree with shutting down taxpayer-funded media that pushes leftist propaganda?
If you want to know for sure who is spending the money, you must have an audit of every agency. Not a company auditor who gets bullied by the department manager. An independent auditor. Prove not just the money was spent, prove how much and precisely which department, and what was procured.
