Democrats are self destructing.
Democratic Representative Al Green from Texas is once again pushing for impeachment against President Donald Trump after being escorted out of the president’s joint address to Congress. Green made it clear that he is “working on” Articles of Impeachment, reigniting a contentious and divisive debate in Washington.
This impeachment effort highlights the ongoing deep divide between the two major political parties in America. During Trump’s speech, the stark contrast between the parties was evident: Republicans cheered and applauded, while Democrats openly booed and protested, showing no signs of unity. Green’s outburst was one of the most visible signs of this rift, as he repeatedly interrupted the president’s speech, shouting that Trump had “no mandate.”
The controversy escalated when Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, a Republican, ordered Green’s removal after his refusal to take his seat. As Green was escorted out, Republicans in the chamber chanted, “Hey, Hey, Hey, Goodbye.” This scene was highly unusual, as such a public removal of a member of Congress during a joint address is almost unprecedented in recent history.
Green has long been a vocal critic of Trump, even pursuing impeachment twice during Trump’s first term. He previously accused Trump of criminal behavior and suggested that he was unfit to lead, citing the president’s past impeachment and his alleged felony convictions. Despite Green’s persistence, the impeachment efforts have repeatedly failed, with the Republican-controlled Senate acquitting Trump both times.
Green has also claimed that his interruptions during the joint address were aimed at protesting Trump’s push to cut important social programs like Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security. He expressed concerns about the potential cuts to these vital programs, which many Americans, particularly in his district, depend on for healthcare and financial security.
Despite Green’s dramatic speeches and actions, his impeachment proposal lacks significant support, even from within his own party. Key Democratic leaders, including Representative Pete Aguilar, have indicated that impeachment is not a priority for the party. Even so, Green remains determined to move forward with his plans, suggesting that he will push for a third impeachment, although historically such efforts have been unsuccessful.
The reality remains that in a Republican-controlled House and Senate, the chances of a successful impeachment are slim. Nevertheless, former Trump adviser Steve Bannon has warned that Democrats, particularly House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, may once again pursue impeachment if they gain control of the House after the 2026 midterms. He predicts that Jeffries would be quick to move for impeachment in 2027, backed by significant financial support from wealthy Democratic donors.
In the end, while impeachment remains a distant possibility for now, the political landscape in Washington is unpredictable, and the battle between Democrats and Republicans is far from over.
Democrats hate Trump and America, they though another Hissy fit instead of working together to correct the problems with America! Every Democrat needs to be removed from Government, elections have consequences. Vote them OUT.
