Republicans Celebrate Trump’s Cabinet
Jason Miller, a key insider from former President Trump’s team, made waves on Friday by defending Trump’s Cabinet nominees, calling them “Washington disruptors” and emphasizing his confidence that they will all be confirmed. Appearing on Fox News, Miller stated, “I’m not worried about any of the fantastic nominees President Trump has put forward. These are the ultimate disruptors. They are the ones who will help depoliticize government.”
Miller’s remarks come amidst mounting questions about the confirmation of several of Trump’s picks. Tulsi Gabbard, former Congresswoman from Hawaii and Trump’s nominee for Director of National Intelligence, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., nominated for Secretary of Health and Human Services, both faced tough moments during their respective confirmation hearings. Gabbard, in particular, raised concerns among some Republicans after she hesitated to label Edward Snowden a “traitor” during her testimony—a stance that caught the attention of Sen. Josh Hawley (R-Mo.), who voiced concerns about her confirmation on Jesse Watters Primetime. “Her ‘sin’ is that she challenges the surveillance state,” Hawley said, signaling potential resistance from GOP colleagues.
Further complicating Gabbard’s prospects, Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) noted that some Republican Senators expressed discomfort with the idea of Gabbard managing 18 intelligence agencies, questioning her ability to handle such sensitive responsibilities.
Despite these challenges, Miller remains confident in Trump’s agenda. He reiterated that all of Trump’s nominees are committed to fulfilling the President’s promises to the American people—promises of restoring accountability and reducing political influence in key sectors like law enforcement, intelligence, and healthcare. “Americans are tired of the politicization of these critical areas, and that’s exactly why President Trump won 77 million votes,” Miller concluded, reinforcing that the fight for reform is far from over.
Trump’s picks are clearly positioned to shake up the entrenched bureaucratic system in Washington, and Miller’s assurances reflect his belief that the American people, tired of business-as-usual, stand firmly behind the President’s vision for a new direction.
