Trump Gets More Praise
Rep. Nicole Malliotakis of New York recently praised President-elect Donald Trump’s leadership, pointing to his proactive involvement in global affairs, such as the ceasefire deal and hostage releases currently taking place in Israel. Malliotakis emphasized on Newsmax that this is just one of many examples of how Trump’s leadership style, grounded in strength and diplomacy, is restoring peace and stability across the globe.
“Under President Trump, the concept of ‘peace through strength’ is making a comeback,” Malliotakis said. “He’s the same leader who brokered the Abraham Accords, bringing peace to the Middle East. This ceasefire agreement wouldn’t have happened without his direct influence.”
Trump’s bold approach to foreign policy, especially in the Middle East, has already had a lasting impact. Malliotakis explained how Trump appointed Steve Witkoff as his special envoy to the region, sparking vital negotiations that led to key agreements. In stark contrast, she noted that President Joe Biden’s policies, including the lifting of sanctions on Iran, have inadvertently fueled the ongoing violence by empowering groups like Hamas. By unfreezing Iranian assets and relaxing sanctions, she argued, the Biden administration gave these terrorist organizations the resources to launch deadly attacks.
For Malliotakis, a key part of Trump’s future success lies in his ability to apply maximum pressure on Iran again, including through stringent sanctions, to prevent the funding of terrorism. She also pointed to the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan under Biden, which she believes emboldened terror groups worldwide, sending a message of weakness.
“Under President Trump, America showed the world that we would not tolerate terrorism,” Malliotakis continued, referencing the administration’s success in eliminating ISIS. “That’s the kind of leadership we need again.”
On the domestic front, Malliotakis believes Trump’s return to office would mean the end of sanctuary cities that have long been misusing taxpayer dollars to protect illegal immigrants, particularly criminals. Cities like Chicago and New York, she said, would be the first to feel the impact of Trump’s strong stance on illegal immigration, including mass deportations.
“New York City has been wasting taxpayer money to house criminals who are here illegally,” Malliotakis asserted. “The people who’ve had enough of this reckless policy will see a shift with Trump back in office, and I’m excited for that change.”
