Biden To Pardon Who Now?
Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), Chairman of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, has expressed strong belief that President Biden will issue a pardon for his brother, James Biden, during the final months of his presidency. Comer, in a recent interview on Newsmax, suggested that such a move is not only likely but almost necessary given the ongoing investigations into James Biden’s financial dealings.
The investigation into James Biden’s involvement in questionable loan transactions was conducted by Comer’s committee, which uncovered troubling details. Although the findings were forwarded to the Department of Justice, no action has been taken thus far, fueling Republican frustration with the justice system under Attorney General Merrick Garland. Comer has been outspoken about the lack of accountability in the Biden administration, accusing it of corruption and failure to act on serious allegations.
Comer also pointed to the fact that both James Biden and Hunter Biden, the president’s son, were caught lying during their interviews with Congress. While lying to Congress is a felony, Comer and other lawmakers argue that these cases have not been pursued by the Department of Justice, adding to suspicions about the fairness of the investigation. He believes the ongoing investigations into the Biden family’s business dealings could lead to criminal charges, and that James Biden may ultimately receive a pardon, just as Hunter Biden did earlier this year.
While there is no direct evidence implicating President Biden in any illegal activities related to his family members, Comer and his colleagues are working diligently to uncover any potential links. Comer also highlighted that as many as ten members of the Biden family may have benefited from alleged influence-peddling, which adds to the mounting questions surrounding the president’s role in these dealings.
The pardon of Hunter Biden has been a controversial topic, sparking calls from various quarters for more pardons, including for nonviolent offenders and even former President Trump. As the investigations continue and with Biden’s term nearing its end, speculation grows about whether further pardons will be issued, especially to members of the Biden family.
We should have 4 year term limits on representatives and 6 years on senators.
