Media Calls Kamala The Best VP In History, Are They Lying?

Trump Steamrolls Kamala

Former President Donald Trump launched a strong critique of Vice President Kamala Harris following her recent CNN interview, labeling her as “defective.” Speaking at the annual Moms for Liberty event, a prominent conservative organization, Trump expressed his dissatisfaction with Harris’s performance. “She would have been better off doing more interviews, even if they weren’t stellar,” Trump asserted. “Now that everyone is paying attention, it’s clear that she’s defective.”

Trump’s remarks come in the wake of Vice President Harris’s first significant interview since her ascent as the Democratic presidential nominee. CNN’s Dana Bash conducted the interview with Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, amidst increasing calls for Harris to engage with the media. Trump suggested that Harris’s appearance during the interview exposed her shortcomings and questioned her readiness for the presidency. “We don’t need another defective person leading this country,” he added, seemingly alluding to President Joe Biden’s recent withdrawal from the race and his endorsement of Harris.

During his speech in Pennsylvania, Trump also took aim at CNN and Dana Bash, whom he criticized for being “nasty” and accused of providing weak coverage. “Did you see her on television last night?” Trump asked rhetorically. “Is this really who we want as our president? I don’t think so.” He further blasted CNN for pre-taping the interview, alleging that it was a tactic to prevent potential gaffes by Harris, although the network aired the full interview without edits.

Trump’s comments reflect his broader strategy of challenging Harris’s qualifications and the media’s handling of her candidacy. In contrast, he had previously praised CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash for their moderation of debates earlier in the year, highlighting his shifting views on media fairness based on their treatment of his opponents.

Trump’s continued criticism of Harris underscores his ongoing campaign strategy to cast doubt on the competence of his political rivals while rallying his base with familiar themes of media bias and political mismanagement.
