Should Biden Continue To Stand In Support Of Israel?

Trump’s Joke Terrifies Democrats

Here’s what Democrats are crying about now.

Donald Trump humorously suggested the notion of serving three terms as president during a dynamic speech at the National Rifle Association’s (NRA) annual convention. He pledged to undo gun safety regulations implemented under the Biden administration.

Trump referenced Franklin D. Roosevelt’s nearly 16-year tenure, questioning if he could serve three terms. “You know, FDR served almost 16 years – four terms. Should we consider three terms? Or maybe two terms?” he said to the crowd in Dallas, inciting some to shout “three!” as reported by Politico.

This isn’t the first time Trump has alluded to a third term, having previously mentioned the idea during his 2020 campaign. However, he has also distanced himself from the concept, telling Time magazine in April that he is against it and plans to serve only one four-year term and excel during that period.

The 22nd Amendment, enacted after Roosevelt’s unprecedented four terms, restricts presidents to two terms in office.

In his address to the NRA, Trump discussed topics such as abortion, immigration, and criticized Robert F. Kennedy Jr., labeling him as part of the “radical left.” He also expressed frustration over the numerous legal battles he faces, including a gag order preventing him from discussing witnesses in his ongoing criminal trial in New York City.

Despite the NRA’s endorsement, the organization has been struggling with legal and financial issues, diminishing its influence in American politics. The convention took place less than three months after former leader Wayne LaPierre and other executives were held liable in a lawsuit concerning the group’s extravagant expenditures.

Trump, addressing the claim that gun owners often don’t vote, urged NRA members to participate in the upcoming elections: “Let’s be rebellious and vote this time, OK?”

The Biden administration has actively sought to reduce gun violence, implementing several executive actions and establishing the first federal office dedicated to gun violence prevention. Efforts include expanding background checks for gun purchases and closing loopholes that allow firearm sales without checks outside traditional stores.

“If the Biden administration gets another four years, they will come for your guns,” Trump warned.

According to an October Gallup poll, only 12% of Americans believe gun laws should be less strict, while 56% think they should be stricter and 31% prefer they remain unchanged.
