VIDEO: GOP Praises Most Hated Democrat
Pennsylvania Democrat Senator John Fetterman is gaining unexpected support from Republicans after urging the expulsion of Democratic Senator Bob Menendez of New Jersey. Menendez and his wife face federal charges, accused of accepting bribes, including gold, luxury vehicles, cash, and mortgage payments, allegedly in exchange for advancing the interests of businessmen Wael Hana, Jose Uribe, and Fred Daibes, benefiting the Arab Republic of Egypt.
In the past, Menendez dismissed the charges as part of a smear campaign, criticizing the prosecutors for misrepresenting his congressional office’s normal work and attacking his wife’s pre-existing friendships.
During an appearance on The View, Fetterman, responding to the earlier expulsion of Republican Congressman George Santos, pointed to Menendez’s alleged misconduct, asserting that Menendez, in Fetterman’s view, serves Egypt more than New Jersey and should be expelled.
Menendez responded to Fetterman’s remarks, accusing him of playing judge, jury, and executioner and prioritizing clickbait over justice. Menendez asserted his confidence in exoneration, emphasizing the importance of due process and the presumption of innocence.
Fetterman’s comments on The View garnered praise on social media, with Republican National Committee member Harmeet K. Dhillon applauding him for saying things most Republicans in Congress won’t. Others, including Republicans against Trump and conservative activist Scott Presler, expressed agreement with Fetterman’s stance, highlighting the unusual bipartisan support for his position.
