Hollywood Star Says GOP Will Lose

Hollywood Liberal Uses CBS Platform to Push Anti-Trump Agenda While Promoting Anti-American Broadway Play

Hollywood actor and longtime Democrat donor George Clooney is once again using his celebrity platform to take aim at President Donald J. Trump—and the American people are taking notice.

Appearing on CBS’s highly criticized “60 Minutes,” Clooney unleashed a fresh round of attacks against Trump, while also promoting his new Broadway production, Good Night, and Good Luck—a politically charged play portraying government efforts to hold media figures accountable as a form of censorship.

Following the interview, President Trump blasted the liberal actor, calling Clooney a “second-rate movie star” and a “failed political pundit.” In a now-viral statement, Trump said,

“Why is the discredited 60 Minutes running a glowing profile on George Clooney—a washed-up actor and wannabe political commentator? He pushed hard for Sleepy Joe during the campaign, then turned on him the moment things went south.”

During a later appearance on “CBS Mornings,” Clooney brushed off Trump’s comments, saying he wasn’t bothered and had “known Donald Trump for years.” He went on to say that his role is to “speak the truth whenever possible.” However, many critics argue that Clooney’s idea of “truth” tends to echo the usual talking points of the political left, often ignoring the real issues that matter most to everyday Americans.

The actor, who has long aligned himself with far-left causes, also took a swipe at tech billionaire and Trump ally Elon Musk. Clooney dismissed past criticism from Musk, saying, “That’s their right to do it, and it’s my right to say the other side.” Clooney’s comments come amid growing frustration among Americans over liberal elites attempting to silence conservative voices.

Clooney’s Broadway play paints a sympathetic picture of CBS journalist Edward R. Murrow during the Cold War, framing Senator Joseph McCarthy—a staunch anti-communist—as the villain. Unsurprisingly, Clooney used the opportunity to suggest the Trump administration is “trying to make journalists smaller,” a comment many see as a recycled talking point from the liberal media establishment.

Critics say the actor’s message is clear: support for left-wing media is more important than truth, transparency, or national security.

Even more telling is Clooney’s flip-flop on Joe Biden. Just days before Biden’s disastrous 2024 debate performance, Clooney co-hosted a high-profile fundraiser for the President. But after Biden stumbled through the debate, Clooney publicly urged him to step aside—an example, some say, of Hollywood abandoning its own when the political optics shift.
