Vance Comes To Trump’s Defense
WASHINGTON — Vice President J.D. Vance didn’t hold back Thursday, torching a controversial Wall Street Journal article that accused President Donald J. Trump of writing a “bawdy” birthday note to Jeffrey Epstein over two decades ago.
“Forgive my language,” Vance wrote on X, “but this story is complete and utter bulls—. Does anyone actually believe this sounds like President Trump?”
The Wall Street Journal, owned by liberal media billionaire Rupert Murdoch, published the questionable story Thursday, claiming President Trump contributed a risqué message to a leather-bound birthday book for Epstein back in 2003. The so-called letter reportedly included a poem typed over the outline of a nude hand-drawn woman and ended with the line:
“A pal is a wonderful thing. Happy Birthday — and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
The Journal claims the message bears Trump’s signature — a claim the White House has fiercely denied.
President Trump, currently leading the nation with strong approval among seniors and working-class Americans, immediately vowed legal action, calling the article a politically timed “fake news hoax” meant to distract from his accomplishments and ongoing investigations into Democrat corruption.
Vance Calls Out Media Bias and Journalistic Malpractice
Vice President Vance condemned the Journal’s lack of transparency, revealing that the supposed Epstein letter was never shared with the White House before publication.
“Doesn’t it violate journalistic ethics to publish something like this without giving the accused a chance to respond?” Vance asked. “This isn’t journalism — it’s a coordinated smear campaign.”
Vance also questioned how the Left and its media allies keep reviving debunked scandals whenever President Trump gains momentum.
“Will the same people who believed the Russia hoax, the Ukraine phone call hoax, the ‘fine people’ hoax, and the Mar-a-Lago raid hoax stop and think before falling for yet another hit piece?”
President Trump Responds: “They Had Nothing!”
Taking to Truth Social, President Trump urged supporters to focus on real issues — like border security, inflation, and rebuilding America — rather than recycled scandals pushed by globalist media outlets.
“If there was a ‘smoking gun’ on Epstein, why didn’t the Democrats use it when THEY had control for four years?” Trump wrote. “They had Garland, Comey, the FBI, and the media. THEY FOUND NOTHING — BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING!!!”
President Trump has long acknowledged that he knew Epstein casually in the 1990s through social events in Florida and New York, but insists they parted ways over 20 years ago and had no close ties. Trump was also one of the first public figures to ban Epstein from his clubs.
Conservatives See Through the Distraction
This latest smear campaign is yet another desperate attempt to derail President Trump’s successful second term, with the economy rebounding, gas prices falling, and America’s enemies once again respecting our strength.
The American people, especially patriotic seniors and veterans who remember real leadership, are seeing through the noise. They know what’s at stake — and they’re standing with Trump.
