Trump Endorses Lincoln
President Donald Trump on Thursday officially endorsed Republican Kevin Lincoln in California’s 13th Congressional District, throwing his support behind the former Stockton mayor in what is expected to be one of the most competitive House races in the state.
Trump announced the endorsement in a statement posted on Truth Social, highlighting Lincoln’s service as a U.S. Marine and his leadership record in local government.
Trump said it was an honor to support Kevin Lincoln as he campaigns to serve the people of California’s 13th Congressional District.
Marine Veteran and Former Mayor Backed by Trump
Lincoln, a Marine Corps veteran, is seeking to flip the Central Valley district, which has seen tight election margins in recent cycles. Trump described Lincoln as a disciplined leader with real-world experience both in uniform and as mayor of Stockton.
Trump said Lincoln’s service as a U.S. Marine and his leadership as mayor of Stockton demonstrate a record of honorable service, adding that he would carry that same determination to Congress.
Focus on Economy, Border Security, and Energy
In his endorsement message, Trump outlined the policy priorities he believes Lincoln would pursue if elected.
According to Trump, Lincoln supports growing the economy by cutting taxes and reducing government regulations, while promoting American manufacturing and job creation under a “Made in the USA” approach.
Immigration and border security were also central to the endorsement. Trump said Lincoln would work to keep the border secure and combat migrant crime, echoing the president’s broader national security agenda.
Energy independence was another key theme, with Trump saying Lincoln would push for expanded domestic energy production and American energy dominance.
Support for Military, Veterans, and the Second Amendment
Trump also emphasized Lincoln’s support for the U.S. military and veterans, as well as his commitment to protecting constitutional rights.
According to the president, Lincoln would work to strengthen the armed forces, support veterans, and defend the Second Amendment, which Trump said continues to face ongoing political pressure.
“Complete and Total Endorsement”
Trump closed his endorsement with a strong declaration of confidence in the Republican candidate.
“Kevin Lincoln has my complete and total endorsement,” Trump wrote. “He will never let you down.”
Lincoln served as mayor of Stockton from 2020 to 2024 and has made public safety, economic growth, and government accountability central themes of his congressional campaign.
Competitive Central Valley District
California’s 13th Congressional District includes portions of San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, and Madera counties. With control of the House in play, the race is expected to attract significant national attention as Republicans look to expand their majority.
