In a stunning result, Argentine President Javier Milei’s Freedom Party won over 40% of the national vote in Sunday’s legislative elections — a sweeping victory that strengthens his pro-market reforms and delivers a major win for Trump’s foreign policy vision.

Speaking aboard Air Force One, President Trump hailed the results as a turning point for Latin America.

President Trump took to Truth Social early Monday to congratulate Milei on his “Landslide Victory,” praising him as a “wonderful leader” and reaffirming America’s confidence in his government.
In a heartfelt response on X, Milei thanked Trump “for trusting the Argentine people,” calling him “a great friend of the Argentine Republic.”
“Our nations should never have stopped being allies,” Milei wrote. “Our peoples want to live in freedom. Count on me to fight for Western civilization.”
