ICE Puts Up Impressive Numbers
In breaking news out of Florida, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and state law enforcement have confirmed nearly 800 illegal immigrants were arrested during a major multi-day sweep.
The operation, known as “Operation Tidal Wave,” is being hailed as a historic success under President Trump’s leadership.
ICE described the effort as a first-of-its-kind partnership between local and federal agencies, sharing photos of arrests and operations across the state. “In just four days, ICE Miami and Florida law enforcement worked together to detain almost 800 illegal aliens during #OperationTidalWave,” the agency posted on its official X account.
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) praised the results, calling it a “prime example of Florida leading the way in national immigration enforcement.”
In another post, DeSantis emphasized, “Florida is setting the standard for states actively partnering with the Trump administration to restore law and order at the border and across our communities.”
At the center of this success is ICE’s 287(g) program, a critical tool that deputizes local law enforcement officers to enforce federal immigration law. Officials are encouraging other states to follow Florida’s lead in enhancing border security and protecting public safety.
This major crackdown contrasts sharply with left-wing “sanctuary city” policies that have endangered law-abiding citizens across the country. In Florida, under President Trump and Governor DeSantis, public safety remains the top priority.
Acting ICE Director Todd Lyons described Operation Tidal Wave as a “historic, full-scale mission,” explaining to ABC News, “We brought every arm of enforcement together—Homeland Security Investigations, Enforcement and Removal Operations, plus local sheriffs and police departments—to protect American neighborhoods.”
Lyons added, “This proves what’s possible when strong leadership partners with ICE to remove criminal threats from our streets.”
The operation fulfills a major Trump campaign promise: cracking down on illegal immigration and restoring American sovereignty. Even as open-border advocates criticize, patriotic officials across Florida continue to put American families first.
