Trump Trailing Ocasio-Cortez?

A newly released Gallup poll is making waves for suggesting that far-left firebrands like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) rank higher than President Donald Trump in public favorability. But when you dig deeper, it’s clear this is more media narrative than meaningful trend.

According to Gallup, President Trump received a 41% favorable rating, with 57% viewing him unfavorably. That’s a net rating of -16. But here’s the kicker—only 2% of Americans had “no opinion” about Trump, proving he remains the most talked-about political figure in the nation.

By comparison, AOC’s numbers show a net favorability of just -4, with nearly 30% of the country unsure or indifferent about her. Despite constant media exposure and progressive hero worship, most Americans either dislike or don’t care about her radical brand of politics.

Senator Bernie Sanders fared slightly better with a positive rating of +11—but again, that boost comes from younger, hard-left segments of the population—not middle America.

Meanwhile, President Biden continues to struggle. His net favorability sits at -11, with 54% viewing him unfavorably, even after years of media protection and soft interviews. His economic missteps, border failures, and weak foreign policy have cost him the trust of working-class Americans.

Pope Leo XIV Tops the List, But Why?

The figure with the best favorability rating was Pope Leo XIV—an American-born pontiff with a +46 rating. But 31% of respondents had no opinion of him, likely reflecting a lack of political controversy or engagement. That’s hardly a fair comparison to Trump, who’s constantly under fire from the press and political opponents.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky placed second with a +18 rating, after receiving massive U.S. taxpayer funding under Biden’s watch. That figure is likely to shift as more Americans question endless spending overseas while inflation hits home.

Trump Allies See Favorability Drop—But Here’s the Real Reason

Gallup also pointed to declining favorability for former Secretary of State Marco Rubio and tech entrepreneur Elon Musk—each reportedly dropping by 24 points. Both have had public disagreements with President Trump in recent months, particularly over the administration’s budget and tax reforms.

Musk, who once championed innovation under Trump, now sits at the bottom of the list with a net rating of -28. That’s what happens when you alienate the America First movement.

Polls Paint a Narrative, But the MAGA Base Remains Unshaken

Gallup’s analysis claims the overall dip in Trump-world favorability reflects the president’s own decline in job approval, which they say has dropped 10 points since January. Another recent Economist/YouGov poll also placed Trump’s approval underwater by 15 points.

But let’s be honest—polls have been wrong before. In 2016, the media said Trump had no path to victory. In 2020, they declared Biden a unifier. We all saw how that turned out.

The truth is, President Trump remains the heartbeat of the Republican Party, and his America First message continues to resonate with millions of patriots across the nation. No amount of polling spin will change that.

Bottom line: Americans know leadership when they see it—and they’ve seen it in Donald Trump.
