Canadian Leaders Calls Trump A What?
President Donald Trump is once again under attack—this time not from the American Left, but from across the northern border.
Far-left Canadian politician Charlie Angus, a member of Canada’s New Democrat Party, blasted President Trump for deploying National Guard and Marine units to Los Angeles after widespread protests erupted over immigration enforcement operations led by ICE.
Angus described the U.S. president as a “gangster” and accused him of running a “police state.” His inflammatory remarks came during a press conference Thursday in Ottawa, just days before President Trump is expected to attend the high-stakes G7 Summit in Alberta, Canada, where trade, border security, and global alliances will take center stage.
White House: Trump Acted to Restore Law and Order
In response to the backlash, the White House firmly defended the decision, citing rampant violence in Democrat-run California cities.
“Violent rioters in Los Angeles, enabled by Democrat leaders Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass, attacked police, torched vehicles, and plunged the city into lawless chaos,” said Press Secretary Abigail Jackson. “President Trump rightfully stepped in to protect federal law enforcement when Newsom failed to act.”
The president’s action followed disturbing scenes of public unrest, vandalism, and threats to officers—scenes that, according to the administration, demanded immediate federal response.
Trump Maintains Strength Ahead of G7 Summit
While left-wing critics voiced their outrage, President Trump remained unshaken. On Wednesday night, he appeared at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., attending the opening of Les Misérables—a nod to American cultural tradition and resolve just days ahead of his trip to Canada.
At the June 15–17 G7 Summit, President Trump is expected to hold a private meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney to discuss a range of critical issues, including economic cooperation, national security, and the future of U.S.-Canada relations.
Carney previously criticized talk of Canada becoming America’s “51st state” and has sought tariff relief from the Trump administration, which has prioritized fair trade and U.S. manufacturing.
Radical Canadian MP Attacks Trump With Alarmist Rhetoric
Charlie Angus didn’t stop at criticizing Trump’s border enforcement. In an extended rant, the socialist-leaning MP alleged that the American president is a “threat to democracy,” a “convicted felon,” and a “sexual predator.” He even suggested that Canada should no longer consider the U.S. an ally under President Trump—a stunning remark that drew concern from conservative Canadians and U.S. observers alike.
Angus also accused President Trump of attempting to undermine international alliances such as the Five Eyes intelligence partnership and claimed that Trump was acting as a “sock puppet” for Russia’s Vladimir Putin—despite the administration’s tough stance on national defense and NATO accountability.
Trump Supporters See a Strong Leader, Not a Threat
While Angus and other leftist politicians in Canada and the U.S. continue to sound the alarm, millions of Americans see President Trump as a strong, unapologetic leader who puts law enforcement, national sovereignty, and American values first.
In cities where local leadership has collapsed under progressive policies, Trump’s swift federal response has often been the only barrier between law-abiding citizens and total chaos.
As Trump prepares for high-level diplomacy in Alberta, one thing is clear: he is not backing down. Whether it’s protecting the border, standing with law enforcement, or confronting hostile critics abroad, President Trump continues to put America first.
