Major Food Chain Joins Trump’s MAHA
Steak ‘n Shake is making sweeping changes to its ingredients and cooking methods in a move supporters say aligns with President Donald Trump’s Make America Healthy Again vision.
The well-known American fast food chain announced it is returning to simpler, more traditional ingredients while reducing heavily processed products. Company leaders say the goal is to restore the classic quality many Americans remember from the golden age of fast food.
Steak ‘n Shake Promises Real Food Again
During a recent appearance on Fox & Friends, the company’s newly appointed Make America Healthy Again officer, Michael Boes, said the mission is straightforward.
He explained that Steak ‘n Shake wants Americans eating real food again and believes fast food can return to a time when freshness and quality came first.
Boes previously worked as a senior adviser at U.S. Department of Health and Human Services before joining the company’s new health initiative.
Major Menu Changes Already Happening
Steak ‘n Shake has already begun introducing several eye-catching upgrades that have sparked national attention.
Those changes include:
- Switching from vegetable oil to beef tallow for fries
- Offering cane sugar Coca-Cola beverages
- Using 100% Grade A Wisconsin butter
- Adding a2 milk products
- Reducing seed oils in food preparation
- Cutting back on microwave cooking methods
Many customers see the move as a return to traditional American food standards.
What About the Famous Milkshakes?
When asked whether milkshakes would disappear, Boes laughed off the idea.
He said classic ingredients such as cream, egg yolks, and sugar can be part of a quality dessert when compared with products loaded with preservatives, fillers, and chemical additives.
According to company leaders, the focus is not removing favorites — it is improving what goes into them.
No Price Increases Expected
Americans often worry healthier food choices come with a higher bill. Steak ‘n Shake says that will not be the case.
Executives say they are focused on long-term customer trust and believe better ingredients can strengthen loyalty without forcing families to pay more.
Trump Administration Pushes New Food Standards
The timing of the changes comes as U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., continues updating federal nutrition guidance during President Trump’s second term.
New recommendations encourage Americans to avoid ultra-processed foods, reduce added sugar, and prioritize protein, healthy fats, fruits, vegetables, and whole grains.
Why This Matters to Conservatives
For many conservatives, Steak ‘n Shake’s decision represents more than menu changes. It reflects a growing movement toward personal responsibility, better health, stronger families, and restoring common-sense American values.
As more businesses respond to consumer demand for cleaner food, Steak ‘n Shake may be leading the way in a fast food revolution.
