Republicans Call Out ‘The View’
House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) is taking aim at ABC’s liberal daytime talk show The View, blasting it as “absurd” after its hosts openly mocked President Trump’s new push to encourage higher birth rates in America.
In an exclusive interview on The Will Cain Show on Fox News, Johnson didn’t hold back.
“Every creative, pro-family idea that President Trump and his team propose is instantly trashed by the liberal media,” Johnson said. “The View is just another example of how out-of-touch they’ve become.”
This week, Trump’s administration signaled it may introduce bold new policies aimed at reversing America’s historic decline in birth rates. Proposals reportedly include $5,000 bonuses for new mothers, fertility support programs, and national campaigns to promote traditional family values.
But the far-left hosts on The View responded with ridicule.
Whoopi Goldberg mocked the idea, claiming it shows a lack of understanding about “how women’s bodies work” and the cost of raising children. Co-host Sunny Hostin then suggested the plan had racial motivations, implying it targets specific demographic groups.
She ended her comments with a smug, “I think I’ve said enough,” as the liberal studio audience laughed.
Speaker Johnson pushed back hard.
“We are the pro-family party. We always have been,” he said. “Encouraging strong families, more children, and a growing next generation is not only smart — it’s essential for the survival of our nation.”
Why It Matters:
The Trump administration’s “baby boom” plan comes at a time when American birth rates have fallen to record lows. Many conservatives see this as a wake-up call — a call to rebuild the American family, restore traditional values, and protect our future.
According to The New York Times, the administration is exploring multiple ideas and is actively gathering feedback on what policies might best support American women and families.
Bottom Line:
While the mainstream media continues to mock, President Trump and his allies are fighting for policies that strengthen American families, support working mothers, and preserve the values that made this country great.
