Democrat Raises Massive Sum

Georgia’s Senate race just heated up. Far-left Senator Jon Ossoff (D-Ga.), a staunch ally of Joe Biden, announced he raised over $10 million in campaign funds last quarter—yet his seat remains a top Republican target in 2026.

Ossoff, who rode into office on a wave of liberal money and media hype, now boasts a massive $15.5 million campaign war chest. But despite his financial firepower, many conservatives believe Georgia is ripe for a Senate flip, especially with Biden’s approval numbers dragging down Democrats nationwide.

His campaign bragged that nearly 98% of donations were $100 or less, with an average contribution of $32—evidence, they claim, of grassroots energy. Donations came from 156 of Georgia’s 159 counties. “The small-dollar movement is the backbone of our coalition,” Ossoff’s campaign manager said in a press release.

However, fundraising isn’t everything. While Ossoff raked in millions, he’s facing increasing pushback from Georgia voters over issues like sky-high inflation, border insecurity, and Biden’s war on energy—issues that hit home for families and seniors alike.

His Q2 total marks a slight drop from the $11 million raised earlier this year, but it still signals steady support from the Democratic donor class and activist networks nationwide. His campaign also claims over 1,700 volunteers have signed on.

Meanwhile, Republicans are circling. State Insurance Commissioner John King and Rep. Buddy Carter (R-Ga.) have already launched campaigns, while others like Rep. Mike Collins (R-Ga.) and former college football coach Derek Dooley may soon jump in.

With control of the Senate on the line, Georgia is shaping up to be one of the most-watched battlegrounds in the nation. For conservatives eager to stop the Biden-Ossoff agenda in its tracks, 2026 could be the year Georgia turns solid red again.
