Trump Calls Out Democrat Governor
President Donald Trump is once again taking aim at failed Democrat leadership — blasting Maryland Governor Wes Moore (D) over Baltimore’s skyrocketing crime, billions in bridge collapse funding, and even questions about Moore’s controversial military record.
Trump Calls Baltimore “Crime-Ridden” Under Democrat Rule
President Trump used his Truth Social platform Sunday to highlight what millions of Americans already know: Baltimore is out of control after decades of Democrat policies.
“Maryland Governor Wes Moore, in a sharp and confrontational tone, challenged me to ‘walk the streets’ with him. I take that to mean Baltimore. As President, I’d prefer he focus on fixing the city’s crime crisis before I consider such a walk,” Trump wrote.
Baltimore consistently ranks as one of the most dangerous cities in America — recently listed as the 4th worst city nationwide for crime and murder.
Crime, Safety, and Trump’s Law-and-Order Agenda
Trump pointed out that violent crime in Washington, D.C., dropped dramatically after his administration intervened — saying Baltimore could experience the same results if Moore took public safety seriously.
He even offered federal assistance, reminding Moore that California Gov. Gavin Newsom had to call in troops to restore order in Los Angeles.
“In just one week, Washington, D.C. has seen zero crime and zero murders. When Baltimore reaches that same level of safety, I’ll gladly walk its streets alongside Maryland’s struggling governor,” Trump said.
Trump Questions Billions in Bridge Collapse Funding
The President also issued a warning over federal tax dollars spent to rebuild Baltimore’s Francis Scott Key Bridge, which collapsed after being struck by a cargo ship.
“Also, I gave Wes Moore a lot of money to fix his demolished bridge. I will now have to rethink that decision???” Trump posted.
For taxpayers, this raises a big question: Should billions keep flowing to cities where Democrat leaders ignore crime and waste resources?
Bronze Star Controversy: Did Moore Mislead Voters?
Trump didn’t stop at crime and infrastructure. He also reignited controversy surrounding Wes Moore’s Bronze Star claim from his Army service in Afghanistan.
In 2006, Moore listed the Bronze Star on an application despite not having received it at the time. Only after renewed media scrutiny nearly two decades later did Moore officially receive the medal.
Trump asked bluntly:
“Did Wes Moore, the Governor of Maryland, lie about getting a Bronze Star?”
For voters who care about honesty and integrity, this is no small issue.
Moore’s Response: Insults Instead of Answers
Rather than addressing crime, corruption, or credibility, Gov. Moore lashed out — calling Trump “President Bone Spurs” and mocking him with cheap shots about golf carts.
This exchange highlights a familiar pattern: Democrats deflect, while Trump delivers results.
The Bottom Line for Baltimore and America
Democrat leadership has left Baltimore drowning in violent crime, broken infrastructure, and mistrust. President Trump’s tough stance underscores the need for law-and-order policies, accountability, and responsible use of taxpayer money.
