Trump Calls Out Gayle King
President Donald Trump is turning up the heat on the liberal media again—this time taking direct aim at CBS News anchor Gayle King.
In a fiery Truth Social post Monday night, Trump didn’t hold back:
“Gayle King’s career is over. She should have stayed loyal to TRUMP. She never had the courage. No talent, no ratings, no strength.”
The post came as CBS’s parent company, Paramount, prepares for a multibillion-dollar merger with Skydance Media. Conservatives say the shakeup is long overdue—and Trump’s message makes it clear that biased, anti-Trump reporting won’t be tolerated quietly.
Trump also shared a New York Post article blasting King for being a symbol of the left-wing slant dominating CBS News. The piece questions her future amid growing pressure to clean house at the network.
CBS Faces Pressure as Trump Scores Legal Win
The timing couldn’t be worse for King or CBS. Just days ago, Paramount agreed to pay President Trump $16 million to settle a lawsuit stemming from a highly edited “60 Minutes” interview with then-Vice President Kamala Harris. The same lawsuit also contributed to the cancellation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show, long criticized for its anti-Trump attacks disguised as comedy.
Trump has often called out CBS, CNN, and other mainstream networks for pushing what he calls “fake news” and has suggested it’s time for federal scrutiny of their broadcast licenses.
“New Paramount” Merger Raises Eyebrows—and Hopes
As part of its merger approval, the newly named “New Paramount” promised the FCC it would include a wider range of political perspectives in its news content. More importantly, it pledged not to impose radical DEI (diversity, equity, inclusion) policies, which many on the right believe are driving political correctness and censorship in American media.
That’s good news for conservative viewers tired of being ignored—and bad news for anchors like Gayle King who have built careers on progressive talking points.
Is This the End of Gayle King at CBS?
With over two decades at the network, King is one of CBS’s most recognizable faces. But under a new ownership structure, her future may not be as secure—especially as viewers continue to abandon liberal news outlets in favor of more balanced, pro-America coverage.
President Trump’s blunt truth-telling once again shines a spotlight on the growing divide between legacy media and the American people. Whether CBS listens—or doubles down on its partisan path—remains to be seen.
