Trump Trolls Schumer

PALM BEACH, FL — President Donald Trump is taking urgent legal action to protect millions of Americans relying on food assistance as the Democrat-driven government shutdown enters its second month.

In a late-night Truth Social post Friday, Trump revealed that his administration is seeking immediate court clarification on how to legally fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) during the ongoing shutdown.

“Our government lawyers do not think we currently have the legal authority to pay SNAP with certain funds we have available, and now two courts have issued conflicting opinions,” Trump wrote.

The President said he refuses to let 42 million low-income Americans suffer just because Washington Democrats refuse to act.

“I will not stand by while American families struggle to put food on the table because Radical Democrats refuse to act and reopen the government,” Trump said. “That’s why I’ve directed our legal team to move quickly and get clear guidance from the Court on how we can continue funding SNAP right away.”

Trump Blames Schumer and Senate Democrats for the Pain

Trump directly blamed Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and his Democrat allies for blocking government reopening bills, accusing them of holding Americans hostage for political points.

“It’s already delayed enough because Democrats insist on keeping the Government closed,” Trump said. “Even if we get immediate guidance, payments could still be delayed as States distribute the money.”

The President pointed out that his administration has already protected military pay and law enforcement funding, and he intends to do the same for SNAP recipients — if the courts allow it.

“If the Court grants us the proper legal authority, I will be proud to deliver that funding — just as I did for our Military and Law Enforcement heroes.”

Trump Calls Out Democrats’ “Cruel Shutdown Games”

Trump accused Democrats of playing political games with people’s livelihoods, calling on SNAP recipients and all Americans to speak out and demand accountability.

“Democrats need to end this political game that’s hurting everyday Americans,” Trump said. “If you rely on SNAP, pick up the phone and tell Senate Democrats it’s time to reopen the government immediately!”

The President even shared the number for Schumer’s office, writing:

“For anyone who wants to make their voice heard, here’s Chuck Schumer’s office line — (202) 224-6542,” Trump added, taking a jab at the Democrat leader he’s long dubbed “Cryin’ Chuck.”

Bottom Line

President Trump is once again taking charge — fighting to protect working families and seniors while Democrats in Washington stall and point fingers. As millions of Americans depend on food assistance, Trump says he won’t rest until the government reopens, Americans are fed, and accountability is restored.
