After Gutfeld aired a segment mocking Swalwell’s bizarre workout videos on Tuesday night’s broadcast, the California Democrat fired back on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), writing:
“If he can out-bench me for 10 reps, I’ll walk away from Congress. But if I win, he walks away from Fox News. Greg’s got 48 hours to step up—after that, I’m calling him ‘Gutlessfeld.'”
You read that right. A sitting member of Congress is challenging a cable news host to a weightlifting contest… instead of focusing on lowering grocery prices, fixing the border crisis, or addressing the record-high cost of living.
Gutfeld, known for his sharp wit and biting humor, aired clips of Swalwell swimming, throwing a baseball, and lifting weights—footage Swalwell posted himself with the caption, “I should be working right now.”
In the video, Swalwell complains:
“Republicans chose to shut things down rather than expose the Epstein records or hold Trump accountable… We should be in D.C. working to cut health care bills and bring down food prices. But instead, I’m here lifting weights at the gym.”
Gutfeld responded with a brutal takedown, quipping:
“With a bench press like that, no one will mind if you use the women’s locker room.”
