Trump’s DOGE Asks Supreme Court To Do What?

Washington, D.C. — The Trump administration is taking urgent action to restore government oversight and eliminate fraud. On Friday, President Trump’s legal team asked the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn a lower court’s ruling that blocks the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) from accessing key Social Security Administration (SSA) data.

This data includes:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Medical and mental health records
  • Income and banking information
  • Work history and federal benefits

The goal? Cut government waste, uncover fraud, and streamline outdated systems that cost taxpayers billions every year.

Trump Legal Team Slams “Activist Judge” Blocking Oversight

Solicitor General D. John Sauer sharply criticized a Maryland federal judge—appointed by Barack Obama—for halting access to SSA systems. He warned that the injunction causes “ongoing, irreparable harm” to national efforts to clean up bureaucracy.

“The government cannot eliminate fraud if the very agency tasked with that job is locked out,” Sauer stated.

He argued this is another example of judicial activism standing in the way of common-sense reform.

Why It Matters to American Taxpayers

This isn’t just red tape—this is your money. DOGE was established by President Trump to:

  • Track down abuse in federal benefits
  • Modernize broken systems
  • Protect Social Security funds from fraudsters

However, left-leaning legal groups and government unions—with ties to the Biden administration—are pushing back. They claim privacy rules are being violated, even though DOGE’s mission is to protect—not misuse—sensitive information.

The Deep State Strikes Again?

Obama-appointed Judge Ellen Hollander allowed limited, redacted access only if DOGE officials undergo further training. Her April 17 decision praised DOGE’s mission, but criticized its methods—a classic case of saying one thing and doing another.

Now, the Supreme Court is being asked to weigh in—after the Fourth Circuit Court refused to lift the block in a controversial 9–6 vote.

Trump Administration: Stand Up for Accountability

This case is about more than data access. It’s about whether President Trump can continue his fight to restore transparency, accountability, and efficiency in government—or whether unelected judges and entrenched bureaucrats will keep protecting the swamp.
