Was Trump 'Chosen By God' To Be President?

Trump Hits Downtown DC

President Donald J. Trump made a surprise trip to downtown Washington, D.C. on Tuesday evening, personally showcasing the dramatic drop in crime following his historic decision to deploy the National Guard and federal law enforcement to the nation’s capital.

Nearly a month after launching his bold crackdown, Trump confidently walked the same streets that were once overrun by violent criminals, gangs, and illegal migrants, proving his law-and-order agenda is delivering real results for the American people.

Trump Dines in Area Once Too Dangerous to Visit

The president enjoyed dinner at the popular Joe’s Stone Crab restaurant, just blocks away from the White House. He was joined by Vice President Vance, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, and Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Speaking to reporters outside the restaurant, Trump declared victory in the battle to reclaim the capital city:

“This was one of the most unsafe cities in America just a year ago,” Trump said. “Today, it’s virtually crime-free. You can walk safely at night again. Families can come out, and businesses are thriving.”

Trump noted that only a few months ago, he wouldn’t have dared to stand in the middle of the street without heavy security. Now, thanks to his tough-on-crime policies, D.C. has become one of the safest major cities in the country.

Next Target: Chicago or New Orleans?

The president also revealed that he will announce a new city for federal law enforcement deployment as early as Wednesday.

While Trump did not name the city, sources close to the White House suggest Chicago and New Orleans are top candidates — two cities that have been plagued by violent crime, gang activity, and failed Democrat leadership.

“We are working with local leaders who want to take back their streets,” Trump said. “We’ll be announcing the next city tomorrow. When we act, crime disappears — fast.”

National Guard and Federal Officers Praised

Trump praised the National Guard, which he federalized on August 11, for working alongside D.C. police and other federal agencies to restore law and order.

“The National Guard and local police have done an incredible job,” Trump said. “When we work together, we get results. Our nation’s capital is now safe for families, tourists, and businesses once again.”

Stunning Results From Trump’s Crime Crackdown

The White House released impressive new statistics showing just how effective Trump’s federal operation has been:

  • 2,177 total arrests since the crackdown began.
  • 20 known gang leaders and members captured.
  • 222 firearms confiscated, including illegal weapons.
  • 7 missing children rescued and safely reunited with their families.
  • 50 homeless encampments cleared, reclaiming public spaces for the community.

On Monday night alone, federal and local authorities made 57 arrests, including 14 illegal migrants — many with prior criminal records.
In addition, 8 firearms were seized in just one night.

More than 3,200 federal law enforcement officers from 22 agencies patrolled the streets of D.C. Monday night, ensuring a strong and visible presence that deters criminals and reassures law-abiding citizens.

Businesses and Restaurants See Revival

Trump’s crackdown has also revitalized local businesses.

Before the operation, fear of crime kept many residents and tourists at home. Now, D.C. restaurants and shops are booming again, thanks to the safe environment created by the president’s decisive action.

“People are going out again. Families are enjoying restaurants and entertainment,” Trump said. “We’ve turned this city around, and we’re just getting started.”

Why It Matters

This historic crackdown demonstrates what strong leadership and tough-on-crime policies can achieve. By taking swift action, President Trump has restored safety, revitalized the economy, and brought hope back to communities long abandoned by failed liberal policies.

With Chicago and New Orleans possibly next, Trump’s strategy could transform America’s most dangerous cities — proving once again that peace and prosperity come through strength.
