Is Trump 'Chickening Out' Again On Iran Like Democrats Claim?

Trump’s Hater Actually Agrees With Him

Veteran Journalist Backs Trump’s Crackdown on DEI, Harvard, and Bloated Bureaucracy

Award-winning journalist John Stossel is turning heads with his blunt yet refreshingly honest take on President Donald J. Trump. During his Sunday night special, “John Stossel: Give Me Liberty!” airing at 7 p.m. EDT on NewsNation, the former Fox News host described Trump as an “arrogant bully”—but said that might be exactly what America needs right now.

“He’s an arrogant bully—but I love that he’s actually changing things,” Stossel told host Connell McShane.

Taking On the Elites: Harvard in the Crosshairs

Stossel didn’t shy away from the controversy surrounding Trump’s decision to revoke millions in federal grants from Harvard University. The move came amid allegations that Harvard administrators have tolerated antisemitic rhetoric in support of pro-Palestinian protests on campus during the Gaza conflict.

“Why were we giving these rich institutions so much taxpayer money in the first place?” Stossel asked.
“I don’t like it when he threatens them—but they had it coming.”

The Trump administration has made clear: elite universities that allow hate speech under the guise of free speech will no longer be rewarded with taxpayer cash.

Free Speech and Fair Funding: A Conservative Principle

Stossel reaffirmed the core American value of free speech—but with a critical distinction.

“America became great because we all have the right to speak—even if it’s stupid or hurtful,” he said.
“But if a school takes public money while promoting hate, it’s time to cut the cord.”

Instead, he said, that money should support American innovation and private-sector jobs—not bloated university bureaucracies.

DEI Under Fire: Trump Dismantles a Toxic Ideology

One of the biggest wins for conservatives, according to Stossel, is Trump’s bold executive order eliminating DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) mandates across the federal government.

“It was captured by the radical left,” Stossel said.
“DEI poisoned honest conversation and made Americans afraid to even speak to people different from them.”

Citing a Harvard Business School study, he noted a shocking fact: corporations with long-standing DEI programs actually hired fewer Black female managers.

“It just didn’t work. Thank God it seems to be over,” he said.

The Bottom Line: Trump Gets Results—Even If It Ruffles Feathers

John Stossel’s message was clear: Trump’s style might be rough, but his results are undeniable. Whether it’s cutting wasteful spending at elite schools, defending free speech, or dismantling divisive DEI programs, Trump is pushing real change that resonates with millions of Americans—especially the forgotten working class.

In an age of political correctness and elite arrogance, Trump’s unapologetic leadership is striking a chord—and voices like Stossel’s prove even longtime skeptics are coming around.
