Democrats Dealing With New Biden ‘Anxiety’
It’s not a good time to be a Democrat.
Still stinging from their defeat at the hands of President Donald J. Trump, the Democratic Party is spiraling. The latest blow? Fresh concerns about former President Joe Biden’s health, following his public cancer diagnosis. The fallout has reignited fierce debate over whether party insiders ignored warning signs for too long.
While Democrats are united in their opposition to Trump’s popular “America First” legislation—now dubbed by supporters as the “Big, Beautiful Bill”—they lack the votes to stop it in Congress.
Young Voters and Woke Wars: DNC in Turmoil
In a desperate bid to regain younger voters, the Democratic National Committee promoted 25-year-old gun control activist David Hogg to a top leadership role. But that move quickly backfired.
Hogg is now under fire for threatening to bankroll far-left candidates—even against sitting Democrats. A vote to potentially oust him is looming, adding fuel to accusations that Democrat leadership is out of touch and clinging to outdated power structures.
“The Democratic establishment has become a home for corporate, do-nothing politicians,” said a spokesperson for Justice Democrats, a progressive group calling for a radical overhaul.
Even Rahm Emanuel Says It: “Our Brand Is Toxic”
Rahm Emanuel, a seasoned Democrat and former congressman, made headlines by stating the obvious: voters see his party as “weak and woke.” He warned that the Democratic “brand” has become “toxic” and risks losing touch with everyday Americans.
This admission from a top Democrat speaks volumes. While President Trump is mobilizing middle America with bold, common-sense leadership, Democrats are busy debating pronouns, gender identity, and climate reparations.
Leadership Vacuum and Voter Disillusionment
The party’s leadership bench looks thin. After Biden dropped out of the 2024 race amid health concerns, Democrats failed to present a strong replacement. Now, party elders like Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer are dodging basic questions about Biden’s condition.
Asked about Biden’s cancer diagnosis, Schumer told CNN, “We’re looking forward.” When pressed again, he simply repeated: “That’s it.”
Not exactly a confidence booster.
Polls Paint a Bleak Picture for Democrats
Despite some recent localized wins, national numbers are grim. A CNN/SSRS poll found only 27% of voters approve of how Democrats in Congress are doing—while Republicans enjoy 37% approval.
Meanwhile, a YouGov/Economist poll showed that only 36% of Americans view the Democratic Party favorably, compared to 41% for the GOP.
Even Younger Democrats Admit: The Party Is Lost
Some within the party are finally admitting it’s not just a messaging problem—it’s a leadership and credibility crisis.
“We say we care about working people, but then we do nothing,” said Rep. Maxwell Frost (D-FL), the youngest member of Congress. “People are angry. We need to stop defending the status quo and offer something real.”
BOTTOM LINE: Democrats Are Losing Ground to Trump’s America First Agenda
While Trump delivers results, the Democrats offer excuses. Biden’s health, woke infighting, and generational conflict are tearing the party apart. And with no clear message or direction, 2026 could bring another historic red wave.
