Is Trump Bullying Biden, Kamala And Obama?

Trump Unveils New Smart Wall

WASHINGTON, D.C. — President Donald J. Trump is once again delivering on his promise to secure America’s southern border, announcing $4.5 billion in new contracts to expand the Smart Wall system — the most advanced border security initiative in U.S. history.

This major investment, the first wave under Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill,” will add 230 miles of new barriers and nearly 400 miles of high-tech surveillance, proving that America First is more than a slogan — it’s a plan in action.

Trump Delivers What Washington Only Talked About

For decades, politicians made empty promises about border security. President Trump got it done.

“For years, Washington talked but failed to act. This President changed that,” said CBP Commissioner Rodney Scott. “The Smart Wall gives our agents the tools, technology, and infrastructure they need to truly take control of the border.”

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed the contracts — awarded between September 15 and 30, 2025 — will protect communities from illegal immigration, drug smuggling, and human trafficking, while strengthening America’s national security.

How the Smart Wall Works

Unlike the traditional barrier, the Smart Wall merges steel and waterborne barriers with roads, lighting, radar, cameras, and sensor networks, giving Border Patrol agents real-time tracking tools to stop illegal crossings before they happen.

Officials say the system will also restore and reinforce wall sections that were canceled under Joe Biden’s administration, a move critics say unleashed the worst border crisis in modern history.

Major Projects Under Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill

These 10 new projects represent the first phase of Trump’s revived border strategy, combining new funding with unfrozen appropriations from 2021 that were shelved during Biden’s term.

To speed up the work, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has cleared environmental and regulatory hurdles for nearly 40 miles of immediate construction in California and New Mexico.

Key Projects Include:

  • El Paso 3 Project: $850 million for 42 miles of new primary Smart Wall, 6 miles of secondary wall, and 46 miles of advanced system upgrades in Texas.
  • Tucson 1 Project: $606 million for 23 miles of secondary wall and 66 miles of new surveillance technology in Arizona.
  • El Centro 1 Project: $574 million to build 8 miles of new wall and 63 miles of Smart Wall tech in California.
  • Del Rio 1 Project: $565 million for 22 miles of Smart Wall and 40 miles of waterborne barriers in Texas.

Additional contracts — totaling over $550 million — cover monitoring systems, patrol roads, and logistics support in San Diego, Yuma, El Paso, and the Rio Grande Valley.

America’s Border Rebuilt and Reinforced

Construction under the One Big Beautiful Bill will continue aggressively through 2026, with more contracts expected in the coming months.

Supporters say the Smart Wall is a game-changer that protects communities, empowers law enforcement, and puts America’s security first. Critics, meanwhile, continue to question costs — but for millions of Americans, the results speak louder than politics.

“President Trump promised to build the wall,” said one senior DHS official. “Now he’s building the smartest wall in the world.”

A Stronger, Safer America

The Smart Wall expansion marks a clear break from the open-border policies of the past. With Trump back in charge, the U.S. is again prioritizing law, order, and national sovereignty.

Federal officials say the new system will soon cover multiple sectors, giving agents the tools they need to secure the border once and for all — proving that Trump’s promise remains ironclad: “The wall will be built.”
