Red State Moves Forward With Trump’s Census Push

Rep. Randy Fine (R-Fla.) is teaming up with President Donald Trump on a powerful new plan to protect the integrity of America’s elections — and take political power away from states that benefit from illegal immigration.

Fine has introduced the “Correct the Count Act,” a fast-track bill that would order the Commerce Department to launch an immediate citizens-only census — counting only American citizens when determining congressional seats and Electoral College votes.

The move comes as redistricting battles heat up nationwide. Republicans in Texas are working to redraw maps to secure more GOP seats, while Democrats continue benefiting from a decades-old loophole: the current census counts every person, including millions of illegal immigrants, boosting blue-state representation and electoral influence.

President Trump recently ordered the Commerce Department to begin preparing a new, updated census that will exclude illegal migrants from the official count. His push is aimed at ensuring that every congressional seat and electoral vote is based on American citizens — not foreign nationals living here illegally.

“The sacred right to vote is being diluted by criminal aliens who artificially inflate the populations of blue states,” Fine declared. “President Trump understands this, and so do I. Between the Great Deportation and the flood of residents fleeing failed blue states, the 2020 Census is no longer valid. It’s time to Correct the Count.”

Republicans have long fought for this reform. Just last year, the GOP-led House passed a bill to add a citizenship question to the census and base political representation only on citizens — but Democrats blocked it from taking effect until 2030.

A Commerce Department spokesperson confirmed that modern technology will be deployed to precisely identify legal residents, ensuring that the official numbers truly reflect America’s citizens.

If enacted, this plan could shift political power back to red states, stop the illegal immigrant power grab, and restore fairness in how congressional seats and electoral votes are allocated — protecting your voice, your vote, and your country.
