Trump Cuts Contract With Who?
In a strong move to protect taxpayers and cut unnecessary government waste, President Donald Trump’s administration has begun canceling costly federal climate contracts — a decision that’s sparking praise among conservatives and fiscal watchdogs alike.
NASA Slashes Deals With Climate Contractors, Cites Executive Order
New records confirm that NASA has canceled multiple contracts with ICF, a private firm previously paid to support the National Climate Assessment and the global Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) — both of which push controversial climate change narratives.
These changes are part of a broader federal strategy to eliminate redundant programs, reduce bureaucratic inefficiency, and return government agencies to their core missions.
“Following a directive from an Executive Order, NASA is restructuring its contract to improve the delivery of technical, analytical, and programmatic support for the U.S. Global Change Research Program,” stated NASA spokesperson Amber Jacobson.
Jacobson added that the agency is working closely with the White House to “increase efficiencies across the 14 agencies and advisory committees” involved in climate work — a move designed to deliver better value for the American people.
A Win for Fiscal Responsibility and American Energy Independence
President Trump has long opposed the massive spending and politically driven climate initiatives that exploded under previous administrations. He’s made it clear: America will not be shackled by foreign-led climate pacts or radical environmentalist agendas.
Instead, the focus is shifting toward energy independence, economic growth, and protecting American jobs — especially in oil, gas, coal, and agriculture sectors.
The Global Change Research Program, created by Congress in 1990, released its fifth climate report in 2023 and is currently working on a sixth. However, many Americans question whether these expensive reports truly serve the public — or simply fuel panic and bigger government.
Climate Lobby in Panic Mode as Contracts Dry Up
Activists on the left are furious over the Trump administration’s decision to pull back on climate funding. One such critic, Brenda Ekwurzel of the Union of Concerned Scientists, issued a statement claiming that the cuts threaten public health and safety.
But many conservative experts see it differently.
“These government reports are often used to justify more regulations, higher energy costs, and policies that hurt American workers,” said a former EPA adviser. “President Trump is standing up to the climate-industrial complex.”
The Bottom Line
As Americans face real challenges — from rising inflation to global instability — President Trump is making sure tax dollars go toward protecting the American people, not funding international panels or fear-based climate forecasts.
This latest move is a clear sign that common sense is back in Washington — and the days of blank checks for globalist climate schemes are over.
