Trump Closes $100 Million Deal
A Bold Move to Hold Big Law Accountable and Protect America’s Heroes
In a major win for justice and transparency, President Donald J. Trump announced a groundbreaking agreement with the powerhouse law firm Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, securing over $100 million in pro bono legal services to support the American people—especially veterans, law enforcement, and politically targeted individuals.
This landmark deal aligns with Trump’s executive orders targeting elite Big Law firms with deep ties to the political Left. These orders restrict federal contracts for firms that show clear political bias or conflicts of interest.
“This was essentially a settlement,” President Trump said. “We very much appreciate their coming to the table.”
Skadden Responds Before Sanctions Hit
Although Skadden was not directly named in any order, sources indicate the firm acted preemptively to avoid potential federal restrictions. According to The New York Times, Skadden is the first major law firm to negotiate a deal before facing formal action.
This deal is a win-win for the American people, ensuring that top-tier legal help is available to:
- Military veterans
- Police officers
- Public servants
- Civically engaged citizens who have been politically silenced
Law Firm Commits to Fairness, Not Politics
Under the agreement, Skadden has pledged to eliminate bias in hiring and promotion, focusing on merit-based advancement. They will also fund a scholarship program for young legal fellows, expanding access to justice and opportunity.
This bold step brings new energy to Trump’s push for legal fairness and government accountability.
Paul, Weiss Also Comes to the Table
Just last week, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP agreed to provide $40 million in pro bono legal support for administration-backed causes. The president lifted an executive order that would have revoked their staff’s federal security clearances.
This shows a clear pattern: law firms are responding to the Trump administration’s demand for accountability.
Not Everyone Is Happy
As expected, the liberal legal elite is pushing back. A former associate at Skadden resigned in protest, posting a dramatic message on LinkedIn criticizing the firm for cooperating with the president. Her post went viral among left-wing circles, but conservative Americans saw it for what it was—virtue signaling from a politically radical employee.
Meanwhile, Jenner & Block and WilmerHale have chosen a different route, suing the Trump administration over the executive orders. And parts of the order affecting Democrat-aligned law firm Perkins Coie were temporarily halted by a federal judge.
Trump: “Justice Must Serve All Americans”
President Trump stood firm in his remarks:
“America’s legal system should serve all Americans—not just the politically connected or media-approved. We’re restoring fairness, balance, and accountability to the legal profession.”
BOTTOM LINE: With President Trump leading the charge, corrupt legal protection for political elites is coming to an end. And the people who have been forgotten—veterans, officers, patriots—are finally being heard.
