Trump Hits Back At Harvard

Elite University Faces Major Blowback as Trump Targets Woke Ideology in Higher Education

President Donald J. Trump has once again put America’s elite institutions on notice—this time taking direct aim at Harvard University. The former President blasted the school’s far-left policies, calling it “a joke” and demanding that federal funding be cut off immediately.

“Harvard has become a complete disgrace—it promotes hatred and ignorance, and it should be cut off from federal funding,” Trump posted Wednesday morning on Truth Social.

This bold statement follows Harvard’s refusal to comply with new federal guidelines from the Trump administration aimed at restoring fairness, transparency, and accountability in higher education.

Harvard Defies Common-Sense Reforms, Sparks National Debate

The administration requested that Harvard implement sensible reforms, including:

  • Restructuring university leadership
  • Changing student disciplinary procedures
  • Revamping admissions and hiring policies
  • Ending DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) programs
  • Providing quarterly transparency reports

But instead of cooperating, Harvard pushed back. Interim President Alan Garber declared that no government should have a say in what private universities teach or how they operate. That defiance has now put Harvard on the chopping block.

Trump Threatens Tax-Exempt Status and Free Ride of Ivy League Elites

In response to Harvard’s refusal, the administration:

  • Paused $2 billion in federal contracts
  • Threatened to revoke tax-exempt status
  • Urged deeper review of how elite schools use taxpayer funds

“These are the WORST and MOST INCOMPETENT leaders in higher education. They live like kings off taxpayer dollars while attacking American values,” Trump said.

The tax-exempt status of private colleges has long been a sore spot for many Americans—especially conservative taxpayers who feel they’re subsidizing schools that indoctrinate rather than educate.

Elite Echo Chamber: Obama, Stanford, and Yale Defend Harvard

While Harvard scrambles to defend itself, it’s getting help from other elite institutions—Stanford and Yale joined its legal efforts. Even former President Barack Obama weighed in, praising Harvard for resisting what he called political interference.

But everyday Americans aren’t buying it.

Many believe these institutions are out of touch with reality and actively hostile toward conservative voices.

Columbia University Already Paid the Price

Harvard isn’t alone. Columbia University also pushed back against the Trump administration—and promptly lost $400 million in federal grants. After caving to the administration’s demands, their funding still hasn’t been restored.

Now Harvard is facing the same fate. And this time, the consequences could be even steeper.

Claudine Gay Controversy Resurfaces: Plagiarism, Antisemitism, and Weak Leadership

President Trump also reminded the public of Harvard’s recent scandal involving Claudine Gay, who served briefly as president.

“Just take a look at what happened recently with their former president—caught plagiarizing and publicly humiliating Harvard in front of Congress,” Trump said.
“Instead of holding her accountable, they quietly reassigned her to a teaching position, despite her clear incompetence.”

Gay had come under fire for the university’s weak response to antisemitism on campus and later faced multiple accusations of academic plagiarism—a serious offense in any academic institution, but one Harvard apparently chose to overlook.

Trump: Harvard No Longer a Great American Institution

President Trump concluded his post with a blunt message:

“Harvard can no longer be considered even a decent place of learning… It should be removed from any list of the world’s great universities.”

Millions of conservative Americans agree—and believe it’s time to rethink how taxpayer dollars are being used to fund institutions that mock traditional values and promote radical ideologies.

Why This Matters to YOU

If you’re over 50 and wondering what’s going on with the next generation, look no further than what’s being taught at schools like Harvard. These universities are shaping future leaders—yet pushing policies that divide the country, undermine American values, and waste billions in federal funding.

Should your tax dollars keep funding this nonsense?
