GOP Doubles Down On Jack Smith

Washington, D.C. — House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) is demanding full transparency from Special Counsel Jack Smith, after explosive new evidence suggests the Biden Justice Department may have spied on lawmakers and associates of President Donald Trump under a secret program known as “Operation Arctic Frost.”

Appearing on Newsmax’s “The Record with Greta Van Susteren,” Jordan revealed that the surveillance operation may have targeted more than 150 members of Congress and key Trump allies — far exceeding earlier reports that only eight senators were involved.

“This is why we need Jack Smith to testify — and we need him under oath,” Jordan said. “We’ve already questioned two of his deputies, and they each took the Fifth over 70 times. What are they hiding?”

Jordan warned that the operation appeared to be politically motivated, designed to undermine President Trump and his closest advisors.

“They went after phone records, bank statements, private communications — everything. This was about weaponizing federal power against political opponents,” he said.

According to Jordan, Smith oversaw and expanded the Arctic Frost operation after being appointed special counsel. “It started small,” Jordan said, “but when Jack Smith took over, it grew into a massive political spying effort.”

A Deep State Operation Under Biden’s Watch

Documents released by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) confirm that the FBI collected phone metadata from at least eight Republican senators and one House member between January 4 and January 7, 2021. Lawmakers now believe the actual number of targets could be much higher — possibly in the triple digits.

The Arctic Frost program reportedly began in April 2022, during the Biden administration, as part of what officials called an investigation into alleged “election interference.” But Republicans argue it became a political fishing expedition aimed squarely at silencing Trump supporters and protecting the Biden White House.

Jordan: “No One Is Safe from Political Weaponization”

Jordan said the Judiciary Committee will continue to push for accountability and expose the full extent of the surveillance.

“If the government can spy on Congress and a sitting president’s team,” he said, “then no American is safe. This is an abuse of power that strikes at the heart of our Republic.”

The Ohio Republican vowed to subpoena Jack Smith if necessary, calling it one of the most serious political scandals in modern American history.
