Trump Family Rejects Apology

CNN Anchor Admits He Was Wrong—But the Damage to America Is Already Done

Fox News host and former Republican National Committee Chair Lara Trump is calling out CNN’s Jake Tapper for a long-overdue apology regarding his dismissal of concerns about Joe Biden’s mental health—concerns that, she says, were obvious to millions of Americans.

Speaking on The Ingraham Angle Tuesday night, Lara Trump revealed that Tapper reached out to her directly earlier this year. “He told me he had a book coming out and that everyone was telling him he needed to apologize,” she explained. “He said, ‘When it launches, I’ll go on TV and admit you were right and I was wrong.’”

Tapper did just that during recent press appearances—but for Lara Trump, the apology comes far too late.

“We were on the brink of a national disaster,” she warned. “The media and Democrat leaders turned a blind eye to Biden’s clear decline, and now they’re admitting it only after the fact.”

Biden’s Cognitive Decline: Ignored by the Left, Called Out by Conservatives

The original interview in question took place last fall, when Lara Trump, then co-chair of President Trump’s campaign, raised serious concerns about President Biden’s mental acuity. Tapper dismissed those warnings outright—something he now regrets.

In promoting his new book on Biden’s failed reelection campaign, Tapper admitted, “She saw something I didn’t see, and I own that.”

But Lara Trump isn’t letting the media off the hook.

“This is bigger than an apology,” she said. “This was a Watergate-level cover-up of the President’s declining capacity—right in front of our eyes. The American people deserved the truth, and they didn’t get it.”

Media Accountability and the 2024 Election

For many conservatives, Tapper’s admission confirms what they’ve long suspected: mainstream media outlets actively shielded Biden from scrutiny while attacking those who raised legitimate questions. Lara Trump emphasized that this media bias nearly led to a catastrophic leadership failure.

Now, with President Donald Trump running strong in 2024, Americans are demanding accountability—not just from Washington, but from the press that failed them.
