Trump Accused Of Putting America Last?

Silicon Valley Democrat Ro Khanna Attacks Strategic Trump Deal That Expands U.S. Tech Dominance Abroad

In a Sunday appearance on ABC News, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) blasted President Donald Trump’s latest international agreement—this time targeting a landmark deal with the United Arab Emirates to construct a massive U.S.-backed artificial intelligence (AI) data hub in Dubai.

The Silicon Valley lawmaker questioned the move, claiming the AI campus should have been built on American soil.

“I don’t like the fact that the biggest AI research center is going to be in Dubai,” Khanna said. “What happened to ‘America First’? Why not put it in Pennsylvania or Ohio?”

Khanna, who represents one of the most privileged tech regions in the world, argued that building the center in places like western Pennsylvania would create much-needed jobs.

But many experts—and conservative leaders—say the Democrat missed the bigger picture entirely.

What the Left Won’t Tell You About the Deal

President Trump’s administration struck the deal to protect U.S. interests, expand global tech leadership, and outpace China in the race for AI dominance.

🔹 10 square miles of AI infrastructure
🔹 5 gigawatts of computing power
🔹 Positioned within 2,000 miles of half the world’s population

The new AI hub, launched during President Trump’s strategic trip to the Middle East, is designed to give U.S.-based “hyperscalers”—major cloud and AI service providers—a regional base of operations.

Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that American companies will operate the facilities and manage the data services, keeping U.S. control intact.

“This is a major milestone in achieving President Trump’s vision for U.S. AI dominance,” Lutnick stated.

America First—But Smarter

Instead of isolating the U.S. tech sector, this move extends American influence, brings American-made technology to critical global markets, and ensures U.S. cloud services remain the gold standard.

It’s a win for American workers, a check against Chinese expansion, and a bold show of leadership on the global stage.

While Democrats like Khanna gripe about missed opportunities, President Trump is securing America’s future in artificial intelligence, national security, and global innovation.

Bottom Line:
This isn’t just a deal. It’s a decisive move to keep America first, globally competitive, and technologically unstoppable.
