GOP Calls For Trump Peace Prize

A top Republican is taking a bold stand against the global elites who hijacked the Nobel Peace Prize — by launching a new award to honor President Donald J. Trump for his unmatched record of “peace through strength.”

Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.) says it’s time to restore honesty and integrity to the idea of global peace. In a powerful op-ed for Newsmax, Tenney unveiled her plan for the “Trump Peace and Prosperity Award,” an honor recognizing world leaders who achieve lasting results through strength, courage, and American values — not empty symbolism.

“The Nobel Peace Prize was once a symbol of strength, honor, and moral conviction,” Tenney wrote. “Now it too often celebrates politics instead of principle and symbolism instead of real accomplishment.”

Tenney: The Nobel Committee Has Lost Its Moral Compass

Tenney, a respected member of the House Intelligence Committee and one of President Trump’s most loyal allies in Congress, said the Nobel Committee has become hopelessly political and out of touch with the real meaning of peace.

She reminded readers that she’s the only member of Congress to have formally nominated President Trump twice for the Nobel Peace Prize — recognition she says he earned through results, not rhetoric.

“President Trump’s leadership brought peace and stability to regions long defined by war and division,” Tenney wrote. “He delivered what no one thought possible.”

Trump’s Record: Real Results, Not Hollow Promises

Tenney cited a long list of Trump’s foreign-policy victories that reshaped world diplomacy and restored America’s credibility:

  • The Abraham Accords, normalizing relations between Israel and Arab nations.
  • The destruction of ISIS and restoration of American deterrence.
  • Tough containment of Iran and stabilization of North Korea through strength, not appeasement.

She also credited Trump’s groundwork for helping achieve the recent Israel–Hamas ceasefire and hostage-release deal, saying it proves peace comes from resolve, not retreat.

“Trump showed the world that real peace doesn’t come from weakness — it comes from courage, clarity, and power,” Tenney said.

Obama’s Nobel vs. Trump’s Achievements

Tenney didn’t mince words about former President Barack Obama, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2009 before achieving anything of substance.

“Obama’s leadership left America weaker, our allies divided, and our enemies bolder,” she wrote. “Trump, on the other hand, didn’t just talk about peace — he achieved it.”

Her words struck a chord with conservatives who have long seen Trump’s foreign-policy record as one of the most successful in modern history — from energy independence to the historic Middle East peace deals that defied global expectations.

Restoring Honor and Setting a New Standard

Tenney also criticized the Nobel Committee’s choice to award Venezuelan opposition figure María Corina Machado, saying it reflects how much the institution’s credibility has declined.

“The committee now rewards rhetoric over results,” she wrote. “If they continue denying reality, we’ll build something better.”

That “something better” is the Trump Peace and Prosperity Award — which Tenney says will raise the global standard for peace and leadership while honoring those who achieve stability through freedom, faith, and strength.

“This award will remind the world that peace is never won through weakness — it’s earned through power, principle, and the courage to confront evil,” Tenney concluded.
