Trump Support Grows

President Donald Trump’s approval rating is climbing again, giving conservatives renewed hope heading into the critical months ahead. A new CBS News/YouGov poll shows that Trump is gaining ground with voters, especially independents and moderates, as concerns over immigration, border security, and skyrocketing inflation continue to dominate national debate.

The September poll, released Sunday, revealed that 44% of Americans now approve of President Trump’s job performance, a two-point increase from 42% in July. This bump comes after months of declining numbers earlier this year.

Back in February, Trump’s approval stood at 53%. However, as Washington Democrats continued their relentless attacks and policies causing chaos at the border, his numbers slipped to 45% by June. This latest uptick signals a resurgence of support for Trump as voters demand action on the issues that matter most.

Independents and Moderates Driving the Shift

The biggest movement came from independent voters, where Trump’s support jumped from 32% in July to 37% in September. Among self-described moderates, approval rose slightly to 36%, up from 34%.

Meanwhile, Trump’s conservative base remains rock solid, holding at an impressive 86% approval, showing that his core supporters have never wavered. Liberal support, however, remains almost nonexistent at just 5%.

Border Security and Inflation Leading Concerns

When asked which issues matter most in judging the Trump administration, 30% of respondents chose immigration and border security as their top priority. This reflects growing frustration with the border crisis under Democrats’ failed policies.

Another 25% said inflation and rising prices were their main concern, while 17% focused on out-of-control government spending and bloated federal programs. These numbers show that voters are demanding strong leadership and fiscal responsibility—two areas where Trump has consistently delivered.

Trump’s Momentum Builds Heading Into 2025

Republican voter support rose two points to 91%, demonstrating unified backing for Trump as he pushes for America First policies. In contrast, Democrat support slipped to just 4%, showing deep divisions within their party.

The poll surveyed 2,385 U.S. adults between September 3-5 and carries a 2.5 percentage point margin of error.

With immigration, inflation, and runaway government spending at the forefront, Trump’s approval rating is rebounding at the perfect time. As voters prepare for the battles ahead, this surge signals that Trump’s message of securing America’s borders and restoring economic strength is resonating across the nation.
