Ted Cruz Calls Out Democrats

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) issued a major warning during a Newsmax appearance Wednesday, arguing that the massive fraud operation uncovered in Minnesota happened squarely under Democrat control — and at enormous cost to American taxpayers.

Cruz told “Rob Schmitt Tonight” that billions of taxpayer dollars were looted through what he called one of the most shocking government failures in recent memory. According to Cruz, much of the stolen money ended up in the hands of individuals inside Minnesota’s Somali community, who allegedly funneled the cash overseas.

Cruz said the fraud scheme became so large that Minnesota taxpayers inadvertently became a major financial pipeline for Al-Shabaab, a dangerous Islamic terrorist organization operating in Somalia.

“The single largest funder of Al-Shabaab right now is the taxpayers of Minnesota,” Cruz said, calling the situation “an absolute scandal.”

He placed full responsibility on Democrat Gov. Tim Walz, saying the crisis reflects the broader collapse of Democrat governance.

Cruz argued that today’s Democratic Party is being driven by its most extreme factions — including anti-Israel agitators, pro-open-border activists, and soft-on-crime ideologues — creating policies he described as dangerous, reckless, and completely detached from the needs of law-abiding Americans.

“It is dangerous,” Cruz said. “That’s where all the energy is in the Democratic Party today — and it’s tragic.”

Cruz also criticized New York Gov. Kathy Hochul for refusing to release the names of individuals receiving SNAP benefits, even as she demands more federal funding to cover the program.

“If she won’t give the names, why the hell does she want money from the federal government?” Cruz asked. “Federal taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay for a system she won’t make transparent.”

Cruz ended by stating that the Democratic Party now supports fraud, waste, and abuse in what he called an “organized and systematic” manner — leaving responsible taxpayers footing the bill for policies that are putting American communities at risk.
