Democrats Attempt To Oust Republican
Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford (D) has officially entered the 2026 governor’s race, launching a campaign that has conservatives warning of a return to soft-on-crime policies, bloated government spending, and dangerous left-wing experiments.
“I’m running for Governor because Nevadans need a fighter in their corner,” Ford said in a press statement Monday.
Ford, a former math teacher and state Senate majority leader, claimed he would focus on lowering housing and drug costs, improving schools, and boosting public safety. But his record tells a different story — one marked by woke legal reforms, rising crime, and deep ties to Democrat donors and special interest groups.
Radical Agenda, Hidden Costs
Under Ford’s watch as attorney general, Nevada has seen increased crime, growing homelessness, and declining public trust in law enforcement. Critics argue Ford’s campaign is less about helping working families and more about flipping the state back into Democrat control — no matter the cost.
Ford slammed Gov. Joe Lombardo (R), falsely claiming Nevadans are “suffering” under Republican leadership. But Nevada is finally rebounding after years of failed Democrat governance. Governor Lombardo’s law-and-order approach, economic discipline, and support for parental rights in education have begun to restore balance.
Lombardo Fights Back — And So Do Conservatives
The Better Nevada PAC fired back immediately after Ford’s announcement.
“Aaron Ford is a corrupt politician who has spent his career pushing his dangerous woke agenda on Nevada families while enjoying special interest perks,” said spokesman John Burke.
“He can’t be trusted to represent working Nevadans, protect our communities, or uphold the public’s trust.”
Republicans are rallying around Governor Lombardo, a former sheriff who flipped the governorship red in 2022 by defeating incumbent Democrat Steve Sisolak — the only GOP pickup of a governor’s seat that cycle.
High Stakes in the Battle for Nevada
Nevada remains a key battleground. In 2024, President Donald Trump carried the Silver State by 3 points, while Democrat Sen. Jacky Rosen narrowly edged out GOP challenger Sam Brown.
With Democrats eyeing Nevada and Georgia as top targets in 2026, the left is pulling out all the stops. But conservative voters—especially those age 50 and up—understand what’s at stake.
Do they want safe streets, a booming economy, and a governor who puts Nevadans first?
Or will they risk it all on a radical return to failed policies and woke overreach?
BOTTOM LINE:
Aaron Ford’s campaign isn’t just another election — it’s a warning sign. For Nevada’s seniors, veterans, working families, and small business owners, the fight to protect common-sense conservative leadership starts now.
