RNC Issues Warning To NYC

New York City — The Republican National Committee (RNC) is sounding the alarm over Democrat Zohran Mamdani after a rough debate performance against Republican Curtis Sliwa and independent Andrew Cuomo — a showdown that exposed just how far left Mamdani’s agenda really is.

The RNC didn’t hold back. In a memo released after the debate, the committee blasted Mamdani as a “dangerous far-left extremist” who would “turn America’s largest city into a socialist disaster zone.”

Mamdani, who has represented Queens’ 36th District since 2021, is already known for pushing radical legislation. Now, with his mayoral campaign gaining national attention, Republicans say his platform could “destroy what’s left of New York’s economy.”

“Democrats are proudly standing behind Mamdani and his socialist agenda,” the RNC warned. “They’re abandoning hardworking New Yorkers and pushing policies that reward criminals, punish taxpayers, and cripple small businesses.”

RNC Memo Highlights Mamdani’s Most Controversial Debate Moments

The RNC’s post-debate memo detailed several shocking moments from the stage that had voters shaking their heads:

  • 💥 Decriminalizing prostitution: Mamdani said New York should “create an economy of opportunity” by decriminalizing sex work.
  • 💸 A $9 billion tax hike: He called for raising taxes to make buses “free,” arguing it would reduce fare evasion — a proposal critics slammed as “fiscal insanity.”
  • 🚔 Defunding the police: While Mamdani denied backing police cuts, the RNC noted his past record tells a very different story.
  • 🧾 No real-world job experience: Opponents reminded voters that Mamdani has never held a private-sector job, questioning his ability to manage a $100 billion city budget.

Republicans: NYC Deserves Leadership, Not Radicalism

Curtis Sliwa, the Republican candidate and longtime Guardian Angels founder, said New Yorkers are tired of “Democrats turning the city into a playground for criminals.”

“This election is about common sense versus chaos,” Sliwa said. “We can save New York City — but only if we stop the radical left before it’s too late.”

The RNC echoed that message, tying Mamdani’s views to the broader Democrat agenda under national leadership, while praising President Donald Trump’s America First policies for restoring law and order nationwide.

As voters prepare for a high-stakes election, the RNC’s message is clear: New York doesn’t need another socialist experiment — it needs safety, sanity, and strong conservative leadership.
