Vance Comes To Trump’s Defense

Peachtree City, GA – Vice President JD Vance came out swinging Thursday against the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) after its latest analysis claimed President Trump’s signature tax plan would hurt poor Americans while enriching the wealthy.

Speaking to a packed crowd at a manufacturing plant in Georgia, Vance rejected the CBO’s conclusions and defended Trump’s “working families tax cuts” as a lifeline for everyday Americans.

“The Congressional Budget Office sometimes puts out reports that are absolutely atrocious—and this is a perfect example,” Vance said, earning thunderous applause.

Democrats Push CBO’s Narrative Against Trump

The controversial report, requested by Democrats, suggested the top 10% of earners could gain an average of $13,600 annually over the next decade, while the bottom 10% might lose $1,200 a year. Liberal lawmakers seized on the study to attack Trump’s economic agenda.

But Vance argued the numbers leave out the bigger picture: Trump’s reforms are designed to lift up working families through lower taxes and stronger American jobs.

Tax Relief for Tips, Overtime, and Hard Work

Vance pointed to the most popular provisions of the law—ending taxes on tips and overtime pay—as proof that Trump’s plan is squarely aimed at America’s working class.

“If you’re working long hours or relying on tips, you’re going to see a big, fat tax cut,” Vance promised. “And just as important, President Trump’s economic policies will make sure your job isn’t shipped overseas to China or Mexico.”

The Vice President added:

“If you’re working hard, the government ought to leave you alone.”

Trump’s Plan: Protecting Jobs and Families

Supporters argue that the CBO’s Washington-based analysts miss the reality facing ordinary Americans: tax relief means more take-home pay, while Trump’s “America First” economic agenda keeps factories open, jobs local, and communities strong.

The Trump administration has rebranded the package as “working families tax cuts”, underscoring its direct benefits to the middle class. Conservatives see it as yet another example of Trump keeping his promise to put American workers—and not Washington elites—first.

🔑 Why This Story Matters

  • Trump’s tax cuts mean more money in your pocket.
  • No taxes on tips or overtime gives relief to service and working-class Americans.
  • America First trade and tax policies keep jobs here instead of shipping them to China or Mexico.
  • Democrats and bureaucrats at the CBO are once again trying to undercut a plan designed to help the middle class.
