Trump Ally Tells Musk To Slow Down
In a powerful public statement, President Trump’s artificial intelligence and crypto advisor, David Sacks, is calling on tech billionaire Elon Musk to abandon his third-party ambitions and rejoin the Republican Party, where conservative values and real change happen.
Sacks, a prominent Silicon Valley investor and longtime ally of Musk, made the comments Tuesday during a high-profile interview on CNBC’s Money Movers. He urged Musk to reconcile with President Trump and stay focused on the mission: defeating the radical left and restoring America’s greatness.
“Elon’s goals align far more with the Republican Party than with any third-party movement,” Sacks said. “President Trump and Elon were once great friends. I hope they can be again—and soon.”
🚩 A Conservative Rift With High Stakes
Musk, who poured nearly $300 million into helping re-elect Trump in 2024, shocked many by announcing the launch of the “America Party”, a third-party movement he claims will rival both Republicans and Democrats.
But the move has drawn sharp criticism from President Trump, who warned that third parties only help the Democrats win—splitting the conservative vote and creating chaos.
“Third parties in America never work,” Trump declared on July 6. “They only bring disruption, confusion, and division, which is exactly what the radical Democrats want.”
💥 Fallout Over Trump’s Historic July 4 Tax Bill
The tension between Musk and Trump flared after Musk criticized the president’s sweeping tax reform and spending bill, signed into law on Independence Day. Musk claimed the legislation would increase the national debt, but the Trump administration countered that Musk’s real concern was losing electric vehicle subsidies.
Despite this disagreement, the two briefly mended ties earlier this year when Musk was appointed to head the Department of Government Efficiency—a key role in Trump’s promise to drain the swamp and overhaul wasteful federal programs.
Now, that renewed alliance seems shaky again.
🇺🇸 Sacks: “There’s Still Time to Unite”
Sacks is confident reconciliation is still possible—and urgently needed.
“The Republican Party is where Elon belongs. It’s the best path forward—for him, for conservatives, and for the country,” Sacks said.
With the 2026 midterms approaching and Democrats growing more desperate, the Republican base cannot afford division. Conservative unity is critical to stopping the far-left agenda, defending the Constitution, and preserving American values for future generations.
