Trump Wants CNN Reporter Fired

President Donald Trump is once again taking a bold stand—this time against CNN and one of its top reporters.

On Wednesday, Trump called for CNN correspondent Natasha Bertrand to be fired immediately after she reported on a leaked U.S. intelligence assessment that claimed the recent airstrikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities only delayed Tehran’s nuclear program by “a few months.”

Trump didn’t mince words on his Truth Social platform:

“Natasha Bertrand should be FIRED from CNN!”
“I watched her spread Fake News for three days. She should be IMMEDIATELY reprimanded and thrown out like a dog!”

The President blasted Bertrand for trying to discredit America’s brave military pilots, saying she was pushing an anti-American narrative.

“She’s attempting to destroy our Patriot Pilots by making them look bad,” Trump wrote.

According to the Trump administration, the leaked intelligence is incomplete and misleading, and an investigation into the leak is already underway.

Trump: Iran Sites Were “Totally Destroyed”

While some media outlets—including CNN, the New York Times, and Washington Post—pushed a more downplayed version of the results, President Trump strongly defended the military’s success. He insisted the Iranian nuclear sites were completely destroyed, and emphasized that Israel’s intelligence estimates suggest the operation set back Tehran’s nuclear ambitions by years, not just months.

Trump also criticized CNN’s editorial standards and called Bertrand unfit for television.

“She doesn’t have what it takes to be an on-camera correspondent. Not even close. FIRE NATASHA!”

CNN Defends Bertrand—Trump Doubles Down

Despite growing backlash, CNN stood behind Bertrand, issuing a statement to The Hill that read:

“CNN stands 100% behind Natasha Bertrand’s journalism and her reporting on the early intelligence assessment.”

They added that their story clearly stated the findings were preliminary and subject to change.

But President Trump isn’t buying it.

“It’s people like her who destroyed the reputation of a once-great network,” he said.
“CNN has become a disgrace to journalism.”
