Dems Says Trump Will Let Social Security Run Out, You Trust Them?

Pentagon Deploys Thousands Of Troops

LOS ANGELES, CA — In a bold move to restore stability and defend federal property, the Trump administration has authorized the deployment of an additional 2,000 National Guard troops to the Los Angeles area. This brings the total federal force in the region to nearly 5,000 troops, including U.S. Marines, amid dwindling protests over Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.

Trump Acts Decisively While Local Leaders Backpedal

According to the Pentagon, the soldiers were activated under Title 10 federal authority to protect federal buildings, law enforcement personnel, and national security assets in the area.

Officials from the Los Angeles Police Department reported no new arrests since Saturday, suggesting the protests—sparked by opposition to ICE and Trump’s immigration enforcement policies—have sharply declined.

Still, the president is not taking any chances.

Mayor Karen Bass, a Democrat, has lifted the city’s overnight curfew, but Washington is continuing to bolster security, sending a clear message: Federal law and order will be enforced.

California’s Democrat Leadership Cries Foul

Despite the success in quelling unrest, California Gov. Gavin Newsom is openly criticizing the deployment.

A spokesperson from his office accused the Trump administration of political theater, stating that troops were being diverted from wildfire response efforts and left “twiddling their thumbs.”

But military officials pushed back, noting that the additional troops are part of a coordinated federal effort to ensure public safety and national security—particularly in cities led by far-left politicians who’ve refused to enforce immigration law.

Federal Task Force Now Securing L.A. Region

The new deployment includes the 49th Military Police Brigade, who will work with the 79th Infantry Brigade Combat Team and the 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment under Task Force 51, commanded by Maj. Gen. Scott M. Sherman.

These forces are not being used for everyday law enforcement. Instead, they are supporting federal security operations by ensuring adequate force strength, completing advanced training in crowd control, de-escalation tactics, and rules of engagement before beginning their mission.

Legal Battle Over Deployment Continues

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is reviewing whether the Trump administration has full legal authority to deploy troops to U.S. cities or if such control should fall to state officials. The court recently paused a ruling from Judge Charles Breyer that challenged the president’s authority.

A final decision is expected by Friday, before another hearing is held in San Francisco.

Hegseth Defends Trump’s Action: “Professionalism and Courage”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, testifying before the Senate, applauded the conduct of the troops:

“These men and women have shown the utmost professionalism in supporting federal agents and defending American property.”

As the Trump administration continues to deliver strong leadership in the face of chaos, many Americans are welcoming the return of law and order—especially in Democrat-controlled cities that have allowed lawlessness to flourish for too long.
