AOC Melts Down After JD Vance’s Wisconsin Speech
Vice President JD Vance drew laughter and applause during a visit to a Wisconsin steel plant when he told a lighthearted story involving President Trump and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. But instead of letting it roll off, AOC fired back with an angry fundraising email — and conservative voters are calling it yet another political meltdown.
Trump and Vance Take Aim at Democrats’ Defense of Crime
Speaking to workers at Mid-City Steel in La Crosse, Wisconsin, near the Minnesota border, Vance paused to pray for victims of a tragic shooting. Then he recalled a lunch with President Trump.
“President Trump told me, ‘JD, you won’t believe it — I actually got Democrats defending crime.’ He joked that if he said he liked puppies, AOC would rush out to say puppies are terrible,” Vance said, sparking laughter from the audience.
AOC Launches Fundraising Plea Over “Insult”
Within hours, AOC’s campaign blasted Vance on X, reposting clips of his comments and lashing out at both Trump and Vance. Her email called the vice president “full of sh*t” and begged followers to donate $5 to “fight the oligarchy.”
One viral left-wing account piled on with the line: “If Trump said puppies were edible, Vance would ask for the recipe.”
Republicans Say Democrats Have Abandoned Working Americans
Republican National Committee spokeswoman Kiersten Pels said Ocasio-Cortez’s overreaction is part of a pattern. “It’s no wonder AOC has turned to cheap insults and endless fundraising. Democrats have abandoned working Americans to defend criminals and illegal aliens — that’s why their favorability is collapsing,” she told reporters.
A History of Clashes Between Vance and AOC
This isn’t the first political feud between the two. Vance has previously warned that a potential 2028 presidential run by Ocasio-Cortez would be “a nightmare scenario” for America. With her latest fundraising stunt, many conservatives say she’s proving his point.
