Liberals are furious about this fact.

White House doctor says President Trump’s health is equivalent to someone 14 years younger

President Donald Trump is once again addressing questions about his health, clarifying details about a medical imaging scan taken during a routine October checkup — and pushing back against what the White House calls misleading media speculation.

In an interview published on New Year’s Day, Trump explained that reports claiming he underwent an MRI were incorrect. Instead, he said doctors performed a CT scan, a common diagnostic tool that produced normal results.

Trump clarified that the test was not an MRI, explaining it was a more basic imaging scan.

What really happened during Trump’s October checkup

Trump’s October visit to Walter Reed marked his second full medical evaluation of 2025. According to the White House physician, the exam confirmed what earlier testing had already shown — the president remains in excellent overall health.

Navy Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, Trump’s physician, said the scan was recommended as a precautionary step to rule out any cardiovascular concerns. The results showed no abnormalities.

“As part of a routine evaluation, we asked the president if he would undergo advanced imaging,” Barbabella said. “The CT scan was perfectly normal.”

CT scan vs. MRI: why the distinction matters

Medical experts note that CT scans and MRI scans serve different purposes. CT scans use X-ray technology and are often used for initial or precautionary evaluations, while MRI scans rely on magnetic imaging and are typically reserved for more detailed analysis.

Doctors involved in Trump’s care said a CT scan was sufficient and appropriate, and that the results confirmed there were no underlying medical issues.

Doctors say Trump’s health is “14 years younger” than his age

Barbabella emphasized that Trump’s cardiovascular and metabolic health indicators are consistent with someone significantly younger than 79.

“President Trump’s medical evaluations continue to show excellent metabolic and cardiovascular health,” Barbabella said. “His health profile places him approximately 14 years younger than his chronological age.”

The physician added that Trump remains fully capable of carrying out the responsibilities of the presidency.

Trump again aces cognitive exam

Trump also addressed ongoing questions about mental sharpness, noting that he recently passed his third cognitive examination with a perfect score.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump said the White House medical team confirmed he answered every question correctly.

He reiterated his support for mandatory cognitive testing for anyone seeking the presidency or vice presidency, arguing that leadership requires mental clarity and competence.

White House responds to renewed media scrutiny

White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said the administration has been transparent about Trump’s health and medical history.

She contrasted that openness with how health concerns involving former President Joe Biden were handled during his time in office.

“This president has been upfront with the American people,” Leavitt said. “The facts speak for themselves.”

Addressing photos and health rumors

The White House has also responded to viral photos and online claims involving swollen legs or bruising on Trump’s hands. Officials said those issues were related to common, non-serious conditions for individuals over 70, frequent handshaking, and regular aspirin use.

Trump joked that critics often misinterpret photos showing him blinking as evidence he is falling asleep.

“They catch me blinking,” Trump said. “That’s what they do.”

Supporters point to double standard in coverage

Many conservatives argue that Trump continues to face disproportionate scrutiny compared to how concerns about President Biden’s mental acuity were treated for years.

Only after a widely criticized debate performance in 2024 did those concerns receive sustained attention, fueling accusations of inconsistent media standards.

Despite ongoing criticism, Trump’s doctors and the White House maintain that the president’s health remains strong — and that official medical evaluations, not speculation, tell the real story.
