President Donald Trump is once again putting America First — this time by exposing how illegal immigrants may be benefiting from Medicaid, a program meant for U.S. citizens and legal residents.
In a bold move that has liberals scrambling, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has reportedly received access to Medicaid enrollment data — including immigration status — to help crack down on unlawful benefits distribution. The data reportedly includes names, addresses, Social Security numbers, and claims records of enrollees from states like California, Illinois, Washington, and D.C., where Democrat leaders openly allow illegal aliens to tap into state-funded healthcare programs.
According to The Associated Press, officials at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) objected, citing ethical concerns, but top Biden-era appointees at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) approved the transfer within just 54 minutes.
California Governor Gavin Newsom quickly issued a statement blasting the Trump administration’s efforts, calling it a potential privacy violation. “We deeply value the privacy of all Californians,” his office claimed — despite his own administration allowing non-citizens to receive state-funded benefits.
But Trump officials aren’t backing down.
HHS spokesperson Andrew Nixon confirmed the data sharing complied with all federal laws. And Tricia McLaughlin, assistant DHS secretary for public affairs, made the administration’s position crystal clear:
“President Trump made it clear that Medicaid should serve those who are truly eligible. In light of the overwhelming surge of illegal immigration under Joe Biden, we’re moving forward with efforts to make sure these benefits go to lawful American citizens — just as promised.”
This aggressive move by the Trump administration comes as the Biden White House continues to face backlash for the ongoing border crisis, ballooning government spending, and failure to prioritize American citizens.
