Here’s what Americans need to know.
America’s frontline defenders are under siege. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and federal officers were the targets of two shocking attacks in Texas over the Independence Day weekend—an alarming development as President Trump’s administration continues its mission to secure the southern border and restore law and order.
ICE Facility Ambushed in Texas on July 4th
The Justice Department has charged ten individuals who allegedly ambushed law enforcement outside the Prairieland Detention Center in Alvarado, Texas—a facility used by the Department of Homeland Security to detain individuals tied to immigration violations.
Wearing all black and equipped with tactical gear, the group began by launching fireworks toward the facility before opening fire on correctional officers and a local police officer, who was shot in the neck. Thankfully, the officer survived after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
“On Independence Day, no less, these violent radicals ambushed our ICE agents,” said DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin. “They will be held accountable.”
Suspects Face Federal Charges for Attempted Murder
The individuals charged—identified as Seth Sikes, Maricela Rueda, Zachary Evetts, Cameron Arnold, Joy Gibson, Elizabeth Soto, Ines Soto, Bradford Morris, Savannah Batten, and Nathan Baumann—are facing multiple federal counts, including the attempted murder of federal officers and the unlawful use of firearms during the commission of a violent offense.
Surveillance footage reportedly shows one suspect firing from the woods and another shooting at unarmed officers. Agents recovered AR-style rifles, tactical radios, spray paint, and propaganda inciting violence against law enforcement.
Messages like “ICE pig” and “FIGHT ICE TERROR WITH CLASS WAR!” were scrawled on vehicles. Multiple sets of body armor and “Faraday bags” designed to block phone signals were also found—tools often used by criminal networks to evade detection.
Coordinated Extremism: Additional Attack Near the Border
The same day, federal agents faced another ambush at a U.S. Border Patrol station in McAllen, Texas, near the U.S.-Mexico border. A gunman wearing a utility vest and wielding a rifle opened fire, injuring a police officer before being shot and killed.
The attacker, identified as Ryan Louis Mosqueda, had a history of mental health concerns and was reported missing earlier that morning. His vehicle was marked with cryptic symbols, but investigators are still piecing together his motives.
Left-Wing Attacks Expand to Oregon
In another disturbing development, an ICE facility in Portland, Oregon—a long-time target of far-left demonstrators—was also attacked on the Fourth of July. Four individuals were arrested after reportedly launching explosives, attacking officers, and sabotaging security infrastructure.
Despite the severity of the alleged crimes, three of the suspects were quickly released pending future court appearances.
“The Justice Department has zero tolerance for attacks on federal officers,” stated Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. “We are fully committed to bringing these perpetrators to justice.”
Why This Matters to Every American
As President Trump continues to restore law and order and defend our borders, these violent attacks highlight a growing threat from organized radicals who openly oppose immigration enforcement.
- Why are anti-ICE extremists allowed to walk free while our officers are under fire?
- Who is funding these coordinated attacks?
- What can be done to ensure the safety of those defending our national security?
The American people deserve answers—and our federal agents deserve protection.
Stay informed, stay vigilant. These attacks are not random—they are part of a broader pattern aimed at undermining immigration enforcement and the rule of law. As patriots, we must stand with our ICE agents, our police officers, and President Trump as they work to keep America safe.
