Rudy Giuliani, longtime ally of President Donald Trump, has been seriously injured in a terrible car accident in New Hampshire.
According to his security team, Giuliani’s vehicle was slammed from behind at high speed late Saturday night, leaving the former New York mayor with a fractured vertebra, multiple cuts and bruises, and injuries to his arm and leg. He was rushed to a trauma center for immediate treatment.
Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s head of security, confirmed that his business partner Maria Ryan, a nurse practitioner, quickly arrived at the hospital to be by his side.
What Happened on Interstate 93?
The New Hampshire State Police revealed that the crash took place around 10 p.m. on Interstate 93 in Manchester. Troopers had been handling a separate domestic violence incident when they witnessed Giuliani’s car get struck and forced into the median. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
Emergency responders immediately crossed the highway to render aid. Giuliani, 80, was a passenger in the vehicle that was hit.
Giuliani Acted Heroically Moments Before Crash
In a shocking twist, Giuliani had just assisted a woman in distress. According to Ragusa, Giuliani stopped his car after being flagged down by a victim of domestic violence. He personally called 911 and stayed with her until officers arrived — refusing to leave until she was safe.
Only after re-entering his vehicle did tragedy strike. Giuliani’s rental car was suddenly hit from behind at high speed.
“This was not a targeted attack,” Ragusa stressed. “No one knew it was him. The incident was random and unrelated.”
Giuliani’s Condition and Message to Supporters
Despite serious injuries, Giuliani is reportedly in good spirits. Maria Ryan told the New York Post that the former mayor is undergoing further testing but remains strong.
Ragusa added: “The mayor is a fighter. He’s a beast. He survived 9/11 — he’ll survive this.”
He also urged supporters not to fuel conspiracy theories, asking for prayers and privacy during Giuliani’s recovery.
