This is amazing!
President Donald Trump is officially launching preparations for what supporters say will become the largest patriotic celebration in American history — the 250th anniversary of the nation’s founding in 2026.
According to details obtained by Fox News Digital, Trump’s White House is backing a new nonpartisan public-private organization called Freedom 250, which will help lead nationwide events celebrating America’s 250th birthday.
The initiative is designed to unite states, businesses, civic groups, and local communities behind a shared goal: honoring America’s founding, restoring national pride, and setting the tone for the next 250 years.
A New Organization With a Big Mission
Freedom 250 will be led by Keith Krach, a former undersecretary of state during Trump’s first term. In a statement announcing the group, Krach described the upcoming anniversary as a once-in-a-lifetime moment for the country.
“America’s 250th anniversary will be unlike anything we have ever done,” Krach said. “President Trump has a bold vision, and Freedom 250 will help bring together Americans from every walk of life to renew our commitment to freedom, opportunity, and independence.”
The organization will work alongside the White House Task Force 250, federal agencies, and the congressionally chartered America250 Commission to coordinate events across all 50 states — and even internationally.
Trump Personally Invested in the Celebration
Ambassador Monica Crowley, speaking Thursday on Fox & Friends, said the milestone holds deep personal meaning for President Trump.
“This means so much to him, just as it does to millions of Americans,” Crowley said. “Many of us remember the bicentennial in 1976 — not every detail, but how it made us feel.”
She explained that the goal of Freedom 250 is to recreate that sense of unity, pride, and patriotism.
“This is a renewal of the American spirit,” she added. “President Trump promised this celebration years ago, and now he’s delivering.”
Trump Unveils Major Events for America 250
In a newly released video message, Trump formally announced Freedom 250 and previewed several high-profile events planned for the anniversary year.
“To carry out these exciting plans, we’ve created a new public-private partnership called Freedom 250,” Trump said. “Together, we will renew patriotism, pride, and the pioneering spirit of America.”
Trump promised Americans they will “never see anything like it again.”
Washington Monument, State Fair, and Patriot Games
As 2026 approaches, the celebration will begin with the Washington Monument illuminated in special anniversary lighting to mark the start of the historic year.
Between June 25 and July 10, the National Mall will be transformed into the Great American State Fair, with exhibits from every state highlighting innovation, culture, and the nation’s remarkable history.
Trump also revealed plans for the inaugural Patriot Games, a four-day sporting event bringing together elite high school athletes — one male and one female — from every state and U.S. territory.
“And I can promise you,” Trump joked, “there will be no men competing in women’s sports.”
Education, Faith, and American History
Freedom 250’s newly launched website describes its mission as “Celebrating the Triumph of the American Spirit.”
The site includes educational videos developed in part with Hillsdale College, highlighting America’s founding, constitutional principles, and the role of faith and prayer in shaping the nation.
A nationwide Freedom Tour is also planned, visiting all 50 states in the order they joined the Union. Cabinet officials and state leaders will visit schools and communities to promote American history and civic pride.
How Americans Can Participate Locally
The Freedom 250 website offers downloadable toolkits showing Americans how to celebrate in their own communities.
These include:
- Classroom materials for teachers
- Guides for state fairs and local festivals
- Toolkits tailored for rodeos and patriotic events
Other sections highlight America’s natural beauty, two-and-a-half centuries of innovation, and the nation’s faith-based heritage.
UFC at the White House and More to Come
Some America 250 celebrations are already underway. Earlier this year, Trump hosted a massive military parade in Washington, D.C., honoring the U.S. Army’s 250th anniversary.
Looking ahead, one of the most talked-about events will be a UFC fight at the White House, scheduled for Flag Day, June 14, 2026. Trump confirmed the event will be hosted by UFC President Dana White.
“It’ll be something special,” Trump said. “And all of this is just the beginning.”
Funding and Federal Support
Rosie Rios, chair of the America250 Commission, said the creation of Freedom 250 provides a clear funding mechanism to support presidential initiatives tied to the anniversary.
“America250’s goal is to engage all Americans — ‘350 million for 250,’” Rios said. “We are committed to historic celebrations at every level, culminating in unforgettable moments during the Fourth of July.”
Trump’s Long-Standing Promise
Trump has spoken for years about making America’s 250th birthday unforgettable. In 2025 alone, he:
- Created the White House Task Force 250
- Revived the 1776 Commission for patriotic education
- Signed major legislation directing tens of millions toward anniversary initiatives
With planning accelerating, supporters say Trump’s long-promised vision for America 250 is quickly becoming reality — and could rival or surpass the legendary bicentennial celebration of 1976.
